Are you tuning the correct tuner. Look for the TV/DTV button. There's analogue (TV) from the old transmission system and there's digital (DTV) for how TV transmissions are broadcast now.
Try setting it for Digital TV..or DTV, as it may be trying to find an analogue or ATV signal. Asssuming you're in the uk, there's no longer any analogue transmissions. Also assuming you're getting SOMETHING displayed on the screen like a set-up menu?
Hi,Does the icon look like a large satellite dish? Make sure your TV is on "TV" and not "DTV" before retuning.
To re-tune analogue channels:
I have a Samsung TV and that icon is not accessible from the menu if i am watching the tv on the digital option of my remote. You have to switch your tv to the "tv" option on your remote and you will be able to access the icon from your menu. (on your remote, you should have a button with TV/DTV on it)
To re-tune analogue channels, if you want to re-tune digital channels, then look for the "D MENU" button on your remote. Press this then scroll down to the icon that looks like a large satellite and then on "Auto Store" This will re-tune your digital channels :0)
If your TV is not in Digital it won't give you the tuning option.
Select DTV from the on screen menu, (like scart 1 scart 2 etc). When
you have found DTV select it and then press menu for tuning.
Hope that helps.
I had the same until this mornin. It installed the Freeview channels (we no longer have an analogue signa), and we loved it! Since then, "no signal". We also DO have a Freeview PVR, so we could watch through the EXT1 sourse. The "Source" button on the remote control handset offers you input option (TV, DTV/USB, DVD, etc etc). I was using TV, which is for ANALOGUE signals. I have just selected DTV/USB and omg! success!! And relief!!! If this sorts you out too then my work is done. x
Hi there not sure if you have resolved this yet but I had same problem and managed to resolve it by chance. If you press and hold the source button (arrow pointing to the centre of a circle) this will give you all your source options down the left hand side, including analogue. Scroll down to ATV and select then tune using menu options. Hope this helps
Hopefully, if you were to press the menu button and somewhere on the screen will be DTV. Select DTV and then you can run search again. Hope that makes sense.
If you reset the tv then you will need to hold the input select button to be able to select ATV with the up down buttons. The quick setup screen will appear which allows you to autotune ATV channels.
Hi i had the same problem but i have sorted mine now. What i was doing wrong was i wasnt tuning in the analoge channels only the freeview digital ones. To do this you need to first turn your tv on. Then press the "source" button, this will bring up a little menu at the top left hand side. When this menu comes up press the "Programme +" button (the one that you use for changing channels near the volume button) press this until you get up to "TV", when T.V is highlighted just wait 3 secs and it will switch over. You will probably get a blue screen with a no signal message (you are now on analogue) when you get this blue screen press the "tune" button. It will automatically start tuning in all of your channels, at first they will be fuzzy but as it works they will become clearer. Your sky channel will also be tuned in. When mine tuned in it didnt tune them in on the right numbers though, bbc2 was on number 1 etc. If you ever need to use a playstation or something it goes into the scart connection at the side of the t.v and you need to press "source" and go up to "scart". To get back onto the digital channels just press "dtv/dvd".
hope i helped!
