Question about Creative Labs ZEN V Plus MP3 Player

I download a song and I end up with multiple copies of the sound tracks. 4 or so. Then I have to go along and delete the tracks. what is the problem and what is the best way to deal with it?

I have multiple copies of many songs on my sansa m200. I can not see them in my computer when looking at the device on windows.

downloaded new microcode from sandisk. it cleaned out the mp3 player and I had to reload it, but duplicate songs are gone, and when I view the mp3 thru windows, it matches what is on the player, so, all is good.

Can't add more songs

look on your mp3 player to see if you have multiple copies of songs, i had this happen with one of mine

Samsung YP-K5 MP3 rename tracks

Find the track on your computer hard disk.

Right click on the track, click on properties.

At the top you will see the name of the track, copy it. ( outline in blue and hold down control button and press C button to copy )

Click on Summary tab.

Go down to Title, click to the right of title and a box will open. ( place the cursor over the box and hold down Control button then press V button to paste into the box )

Thats what I do...

Multiple copies of songs on sansa e250. Unable to delete them.

this will be bery hard for you you need a pc and erase all the files one-one My suggestion format the sansa and clic your pc ONLY ONCE DUD {RATE ME}

Most of my songs say unknown and the songs won't work

You might have multiple issues. On the one hand, the songs you have tried to load could be in the wrong format - I know that the specs say that it reads WMA's, but there are many, many asterisks behind it's WMA playback ability. I would only load songs in Mp3 format.

Additionally, your DB is corrupt. Download the newest version of the Philips Device Manager for your model # at, and then click the "Update" function once it is installed. The update wil lresolve your issue.

Deleting songs.

Your DB might be corrupt. Folow the delete procedure one more time:
Delete Music Files
1) Connect your Sansa to the computer.
2) Select Open device to view files using Windows Explorer on initial
3) Select the place where you want to delete music files from
4) Highlight and delete the music file/s or folder from My Computer\Sansa
folder. (You can also select from a variety of music
software programs to transfer/synchronize your files).

If that fails, go ahead and update the firmware - it will delete everything, and allow you to start over from scratch among other things.

Sounds like the files are DRM copy protected.

You can check for protected tracks.
  • In Windows Explorer, go to the folder where the tracks are stored on your PC.
  • Click on View -----> Details
  • Right click on the header bar in the right hand window and select protected. (If protected is not listed click on More)
  • Tracks will be listed with No or Yes under "protected". Check your non-playing tracks are listed as No, under "protected".
The HDD1830 is not compatible with protected files, although your PC will play them ok.

Copied tracks

The device hes 2 modes.

If you transfer music in 1 mode, you cannot see it on the computer in the other mode.

Change the mode on the device Settings>Mode or USB Mode.

You should see the same tracks that are on your device. Delete the music from ! mode and your problem will be solved.

I assume this is in a PC? Simply right click each title whilst in the PC and click on 'Rename' Or click file/save as/and give the file a name This incidently will leave an un-named copy on the computer

Problem with Sandisk e270

All files need to have filenames and titles ("title" field in the summary under file properties on your PC). Otherwise the player will list it as "unknown" and it will NOT play. You have to drag it out of the player, rename, and then drag it back, if you're in MTP mode (which you SHOULD be!). Multiple copies of the same track sounds like you have some tracks listed under different artist names--you gotta keep a clean library!! Go back and check all the summary attributes for your mp3 files... Of course, you're using WMA files so who the heck knows. I would be sticking with mp3 format, if you want my opinion.......
