Memory card is write protected

I have read all the answers about this and tried removing the card and flipping the little switch on the card. The problem is still there. Even if you put a new card in the camera is shows up. The card in the camera now will work fine in another camera but not it in this one. Help?????

Thought the cards have a little tab on them so they can be "write protected" it is a little plastic tab on the side of the memoryMemory card is write protected - 1.gif card you slide up and down. I know most SD cards1.gif have it, CF cards dont so if its anything besides SD memory its probobly the memory card or some little switch or somthing in the camera that tells the camera when the card is in the "Locked" or "Write protected" mode.

Looking at my SD meMemory card is write protected - 1.gifcards1.gif they have a little arrow on the edge and they say "Lock" pointing down, the slider is up. Move yours both ways, maybe it has a bad connection in the card (im not sure what it actualy does) or its in a position the camera thinks its locked?

How do I remove"memory card

This could possibly be due to a little switch on the side of the card, very small switch usually on the left side of the card. Try flipping it the other way and plug it back in if it has one.
If there is no switch and theres nothing on the card that you want, you can reformat it under *my computer* in the right-click menu.

The message is memory is write protected please help me. thankyou

Hi,

This usually means that the switch for write protection has been flipped on the memory card itself. To resolve this, open the memory door and remove the memory card. There will be a small switch on the card, flip it to the off position (opposite of its current state) and reinsert the card into the camera.

What does it mean when the camera says protected card

It means that the memory card is write-protected.

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

My microsd 2gb memory card show write protected.plz help me

You will need to use a regular SD Card Adapter for the micro sd card. The micro sd card itself does not have a write protected switch, but a regular SD card adapter will, and that does affect the microsd card. You just need to put it in an adapter, flip the switch to make sure it knows it is "locked" - so switch it to locked first, then switch it to unlocked. From there you should be able to write to the card. If you can not then it is possible the micro-sd card is having physical problems and may need to be replaced. Here is a little diagram showing how to unlock the card. Before you go though please make sure to rate my answer 4 thumbs up, it is extremely important to me for you to do so. I would be forever grateful!
