Question about JVC HD-61Z575 61" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I recently replaced the lamp in the TV. The picture was great before. Now When you turn tv on it is noticably more dim (until it warms up) than the older lamp. It also has a green tint near the bottom left part of the screen. As it gets warmer the screen starts to get more green through out the left side. Usually only when the picture is darker do you notice it. During well lit scenes, there is no noticeable green tint.
My question is why all of a sudden. Could it be the brand of bulb used? I have read elsewhere that LTI or ITL lamps are not as good as the JVC brand.
This is most likely a defect in the optical unit (about $1500.00 part). If out of warranty probably will just have to live with it. Those op units are also hard to get.
