I just purchased a house that came with a sears kenmore elite duel fuel range. The door does not close with the light flickering. I took the entire door/hinges and everything apart to find no adjustments. I am affraid that the heat comming from the oven is going to wreck the seal and control knobs on the range. How can I get the door to shut properly?

Well, the hinges are attatched to the door when I remove it. The hinges sit in a well on the oven and rest on a pin when inserted. There appears to be no adjustment at all on either end. I have seen that other models have a hinge kit to solve the same issue. Will this Frigidare 5304445529 kit work with my door issue?

I have exactly the same problem and see no adjustments. Please let me know it you resolve the issue

Do the hinges come out with the door or does the door slip off the hinges? If the hinges are on the door then there is no adjustment if not there should be an adjustment but you may have to pull the range out to properly adjust if it is a built in range. Also check the door lock.
