I really can't imagine what happened. It was working fine, I moved it a foot away and it just seems dead. I tried another plug in where something else works, and the purifier still doesn't. No sound, no nothing.
-   Not really dead but isn't fully purifying. My fan works but the purifier has become very weak and inconsistent even when set on "manual" mode. I'm not electrically inclined what-so-ever but have always kept it clean. I was given 2 more Living air classics and they seem to also have the same problem. Could it be something as little as a fuse?-   gbravo

-   we own the ecoquest breeze AT. we ordered it from a person on ebay
selling a bunch of them. the unit worked for several days then just
stopped truning on. we replaced the fuse, but it didn;t help. any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated. so far the cheapest repair
price we've been given is $159 no matter what is wrong with unit-   lyssa00
the machine is fixable its just troubleshooting now, if you have a volt meter check to see if you are getting 120 volts through the cord to the switch, then see if its getting voltage pass the switch

Seems like a silly suggestion, but did you check to make sure the tab at the bottom of the filter in the back was pushing the safety tab all the way in. My unit is very picky. If I shift the unit while cleaning it plays 'possum on me. Scared me a bunch at first until I realized that it just wasn't pushed in quite far enough to disengaging the safety tab.

I have a Classic Living Air model XL-15C. I keep hearing a loud rattling noise from inside. I believe the noise is coming from the (yellow light) fuse-located in the middle right side of the unit. I also noticed the fuse in upper left corner of the unit (which I believe lights up green) is not on -Would the rattling sound be due to the fuse needing to be replaced? Can I replace both fuses myself?
