Filter Queen powerhead diagram

My 7 year old son decided to take the powerhead apart to clean it, but went a bit too far. Now that it is all in pieces, I can't figure out where and how the spring goes in (I believe it is for the pile selector/rollers). Any ideas or diagrams?

I bought 2 used filter queens. Does the power head always bog down to the point of stalling out when vacuuming. Very strange for a high end vacuum.

I shouldn't. Check the power nozzle brush to make sure it's clean. Remove thread, hair, etc. that may be wrapped around the brush.
Check the tautness of the belt. If it's too tight it will cause strain on the motor, which will result in this.
Check the ends of the brush. They may need cleaned, or the bearings may need replaced.
I highly recommend taking it to an authorized Filter Queen distrubuter for diagnosis and repair.

There are instructions for replacing the brush at the following site, if you decide to do it yourself.

Dear Madam/sir,

While using this type of Vaccum Cleaners we should be little bit careful, why because these Cleaners made not use in harsh but to be used carefully,as you said that you have bought this Cleaner 2 years may be it need a service or the capacity of the vaccum cleaner have been lost due to its interal properties.
my choice is to service it once in two or three months.

Filter queen vac 2 years old suction poor cleaned hose canister and filter

Hi, Did you change both the cone and the filter on the top lid? If so, ther may be a leak in the machine breaking the air tight vacuum. When you put it together make sure its in properly and tight. Let me know if this does not help, I will look at something else. Chris

Ihave a filterqueen majastic its about 10-12 years old and last week the motor seems to not work with full power. what seems to be the problem?

Our filter queen experienced a loss in power. Once we replaced all the filters and cleaned it all out, it worked well again. i think a filter kit cost about $80, but that was a while ago.

No air pressure to **** up dirt

First test suction on unit without the hose, is there suction? If yes, attach hose and test. If no go to the door to outside, attach hose to the top of unit where it blows (under handle on top), put hose out door and turn on. The stuff clogging the hose should blow out the end.

If it wasn't the hose check the wand, and then the power nozzle and using the above to clear obstruction.

I'm not really a technician, but I used to sell Filter Queens and was taught how to maintain them, and have tackled "fixing" some problems. I am a 71 year old great-grandmother of 8, but have good health...

i just took my old majestic apart to fix the motor
on mine, when you open the top of the machine where the exit hook up is
you take out those three screws
the top case comes off and you can get to those three screws and alot more of the motor as well

Good Luck !

Filter Queen Powerhead Not Working

is it the part where the hose connects to the wand or is where the wand connects to the power head? and what side keeps falling out. it sounds to me that its either a hose or a wand issue. unfortunatly the cord itself cannot be replaced and if the problem is a worn out connector in the hose which is possible it would require a replacement hose and if it is on the wand end it would require a new wand. either are fairly cheep on ebay. or you can possibly find one used at a local vacuum dealer. dont buy new. save yourself some money if possible.

My filter queen fell apart!
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Not knowing what actually fell apart is to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or to call the Filter Queen factory cust serv or tech serv @ the phone # listed below, you can also request a new owner’s manual so that you might see what actual fell apart and you might be able to fix it yourself. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Replacing the powerhead motor

depending on which powerhead you have the screw may be under the decal on top of the powerhead. you should be able to feel an indent above the motor. most of the other heads do not have a "hidden screw".
