Solder connections to the convergence stk ic chips have developed ring cracks most likely. The chips will fail if not resoldered. The chips will be mounted to large heat sinks and have stk392-110 or similar marked on them. You will need good soldering skills or professional help is in order. The chips are prone to failure for this reason. Unplug the AC cord before attemping to open the TV . You will need to gain access to the bottom of the circuit board the chips are mount to. Unplug the electricity...did I mention to unplug the AC three times??? Yes ;)

Worked fine for a year, now feels very strange walking on it, have tried lubricating but does not help, feels like bouncing or vibrating while walking, what can be done?

Treadmills often vibrate, just a common side effect of running on it.

Location of your treadmill is key most of the time for reducing vibrations or noise due to impact.

This impact is spread to the floor from the feet of the treadmill, which is a small surface area.

You want to make sure that your treadmill is leveled and it is best that it is placed on a rubber treadmill mat.

This will absorb the impact, as well as the sound and the shock of the vibrations.

A thick rubber mat will act as both a sound and impact suppressor between you, the machine, and the floor. The thicker the mat, the better.

If this does not fix the issue, we would be happy to help you further diagnose the problem by phone 888-713-2880 or by chat at www.sportsmith.net

We also have rubber mats available for your treadmill if you need a new one! Otherwise, good luck on the repair :)

Washer walking all over floor and oil is at base of shock absorber on the plastic mount

If you have noticed that machine is vibrating when it is running then the motor /drum suspension has to be inspected. Since these fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you look for the noise with a good inspection lamp. Manually turn the motor and drum and listen for the noise, if so the motor bearings, the drum agitator shaft and fittings must be checked. Also the suspensions which include the shock absorbers and springs, the body clamps must be checked to be in correct alignment and not changed in position. Tightening of the mounting is also very important. Finally in most cases a drop of OIL or smear of grease on the moving parts cane solve most issues.

What is an anti-shock pole?

The anti-shock poles offer internal springs that absorb the shock when you walk downhill. In most anti-shock poles you can turn off the anti-shock feature whenever you like. The anti-shock feature is recommended if you have weak or damaged ankles, knees or hips.

Check the transport bolts have been removed from the rear, you should see 3 or 4 bolts on the back panel, 13mm heads, going through plastic tubes, remove the bolts and the tubes (if still there) and fit the plastic covers. If the bolts have been removed already, then there could be a problem with the springs or shock absorbers inside the cabinet.

EXTREME SHAKING DURING SPIN CYCLE

Check the Vibration damper rods to be sure that...
1. They are there and mount is solid.
2. If they are broken in 1/2.
3. The plastic knuckle mounts are not missing/broken.
4. There is oil in the shock absorber/spring section of the rods.

Also - there are suspension springs on the bottom of the tub that could be broken and/or missing.

Replace/repair as necessary.

Bearing Follow Up

it does seem a bit odd that vibration and out of balance are ascribed to bearings. normally when bearings go, the symptom is just noisy bearings.
vibration can be from several sources
if the spin cycle does not ramp up to speed ie does not work up to spin speed but goes straight into spin, then there will be vibration
if shock absorbers are worn, there will be vibration.
if the washer is not solid onto the floor there will be vibration.
if the floor is a suspended floor, there can be quite severe vibration. some modern floors (in the UK at any rate) are made from a form of chipboard called weyrock. with joist spacing greater than in the past and with weyrock as the floor cladding, quite severe vibration can result
