Re: Reformat/Reinstall Refresh on hdd

You should provide either CD/DVD rom to boot your sytem in bootable disc.
And you should provide windows XP/2000 bootable disk.

You will need:

CD/DVd Rom
Bootable windowsxp/2000 to reinstall your system.

Note; reformatting or reinstalling your system all files will be remove. you should back up important files before doing.

I dont now what is my email & password

I'm sorry, every pc comes with no password set. Your only option is to reformat your computer and reinstall your OS. Need to back up ur stuffs before reformat? Take out the hard drive, insert it to another pc as a secondary drive, then perform the back up and save whatever files u need to save. Then re insert back ur hdd into ur machine to proceed with format. In FIXYA, we do not reset passwords nor provide any solutions for a locked PC as its due to negligence of the owner.

I need to know how to reformat

to reformat, you will need a bootable floppy or xp installation cd. go to to download one. then boot on that floppy/cd, then type format c:, and you should be fine with that. make sure you have the XP or other OS installer ready so you can reinstall when formatting is done.

I assume you want to reformat it and then reinstall some sort of operating system. The esiest way to do this is to reformat it during the reinstallation of the operating system. If you are using Windows XP, it gives you the option of using FAT32 or NTFS file system to format the drive. If you are using Windows 98 or ME, you can boot to the CD and use the fdisk/format commands found on the CD.
