Cartridge Error 50C consult user guide

I was copying the back side of my insurance card when the printer made a noise like strating to copy. It didn't copy. It displayed an error: Cartridge Error. 50C consult user guide

    Don't have my user guide....printer is giving a message of Cartridge Error 50C. Can anyone give any detail on how to fix ?

    I have a Lexmark 6100 series with an error code: 0504. Color cartridge does not print; printer states color cartridge is missing, yet it is installed correctly,; what might be the problem?

    cartridge error 50c. I have purchased new ink cartridge. I have followed all instructions for troubleshooting.



    1. reinstalled cartridges

    2. reinstalled printer

    3. connected from power strip to wall outlet



    Nothing seems to work



    PLEASE HELP!!!!!

    it recieved one fax and for the second time was displaying cartidge error 50c consnult your user guide. tried to clean it but not helpfull.

    "Alignment problem. Remove tape from cartridges or try troubleshooting."

    I have replaced the cartridges and printed about 7 alignment pages, opened and closed, replaced with new cartidges and nothing seems to be working. Maybe time for a new printer????

Cartridge Error 50C
Your print cartridge has shorted.

1. Power off your All-in-One and unplug it.
2. Plug in your All-in-One again and turn it on.
3. Uninstall and then reinstall your cartridges.
4. If this does not resolve the issue, try the troubleshooting steps for the other cartridge errors below.

Error: Black Cartridge Missing
The black cartridge is not installed. (Install cartridge PN 82)

Error: Color Cartridge Missing
The color cartridge is not installed (Install cartridge PN 83)


Cartridge Error
Complete the following instructions:

1. Power off your All-in-One.
2. Use both hands to lift up the scanner unit until the scanner support holds it open.
3. Turn the All-in-One on. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the All-in-One is busy.
4. Remove the color print cartridge.
5. Lower the scanner unit until it is completely closed.
6. If the error message reappears, replace the black print cartridge with a new print cartridge.
If it does not repeat steps 1-3 and then go to step 7.
7. Reinstall the color cartridge and remove the black print cartridge.
8. Lower the scanner unit until it is completely closed.
9. If the error message occurs again, replace the color cartridge.
10. If an error message reappears, repeat steps 1-3 and reinstall both print cartridges.
11. Lower the scanner unit until it is completely closed.
12. If you receive the error message again, replace both cartridges.

    Hear is How you solve the Catridge Error 50C on you Lexmark X5100. First you get in your car and drive to the neareast Harware stor and get your selfe a biggest baddes meanest Sladge Hammer. You bring that Bad boy home. And try to Print the dam page if it shows the Catridge Error 50C, then you just Smash that pice of $hi**t to death. And you will feel soo. good about it.

    And then call the Lexmark support center and give them you know what to make this Pice of S**t and not providing a answer to solx this probablem

Installed refilled ink catriges,both black and color used for a few days all was well then, it reads Catridge Error -Error: 50C Go to users guide. what do I do Now cannot find users guide. plzzz help.

Your print cartridge has shorted.

  1. Power off your All-in-One and unplug it.

  3. Uninstall and then reinstall your cartridges.

Lexmark 6100 cartridge error 50c


Are you using a factory "New" Lexmark cartridge?


Lexmark does not support the use of refilled cartridges or third party cartridges in their products.


Lexmark considers this to be Product Tampering and will void the printer' warranty.

Cartridge error error 50C consult user guide


Hello, error 50c is a cartridge issue. Try taking out, cleaning heads, returning and reprint. Cheers lilacgerry xxx
