Kenmore front load washer

Found water on the floor in front of the washer. When I pulled machine away from the wall, I found water underneath ir but no leak from input or output hose. Could this machine be leaking from the center???

Thank you.

Purchased a Kenmore HE 2T a few months ago. We discovered water on the washer during the rinse cycle of 1 large load of wash. A Sears repairman checked over the washer and told us we were using too much HE detergent and this caused water to leak out from the door. He said its a common problem with front loaders and recommended using 1/2 to 1/4 (if a water softener is installed) the amount recommended by the manufacturer.

We use the washer everyday and so far no more water leaks.

my washer is not a front load or a fancy one, but my problem was also a leak coming from under the middle front of the washer. It was the water pump and once replaced, haven't had any more problems! It was a real simple fix, My husband was able to replace it in about 10 minutes, with a pump I found on ebay!! We found how to replace it on youtube!!!!!

My kenmore oasis washer has started leaking out water and flooding my floor. have you had any other complaints about this problem and how to fix it.

first of, you need to find out where the water is originating from, pull washer away from wall and look for water dripping. usually water leakage starts from pump. on this washer there is a circulation pump and a drain pump on bottom left and right side. check all hoses and enure that there is no pin holes started

The washer made a gringing noise on the last load and now the water didn't go into the drum but all over the floor.

Found a post online. A garment got lodged between the inner and outer drum blocking the fill port preventing the water from entering the machine - instead it came out the front of the machine at the detergent fill. Pulled out the garment and now works fine.

Washer is in rinse cycle but stopped working. full of wet clothes and water in tub. don't know what to do

Sounds like the lint catch basket, located with the drain pump is clogged with lint, debris or even socks. (I found 4 pairs in one once) Its located at the bottom right side. Look for a twist cap lid. Before unscrewing it, I suggest you pull the unit away from the wall and tip it back at almost 45 degrees, this will keep most of the water from shooting out at you and your floor when the cap is removed. The basket is attached to the cap.

Hi I am looking for the filter that collects debree from the rinse water in a hotpoint wf430

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} The filter is inside the machine, for the 420model. Turn off the power and pull out the machine to get to the rear. Pull out the hose you see going into the wall pipe, lay at floor level or plastic bag to drain out remaining water in machine. Remove the panel at the bottom (2 screws) where the discharge hose comes out. You should see a black concertina type tube coming from below the drum attached by a jubilee clip. The filter is inside. Loosen the clip and pull away the tube, take out the filter and clean it. When you replace it don't forget to put the ball float back in (exactly as you found it) and check it’s well fixed by running a spin cycle before sealing up. Caution, the exit drain hose shd be fitted at the exact location where you found it, abt three feet up from ground level.

Pl rate me nice for the free help, thnks.

I have a Kenmore Elite Top Load 5 years old which leaks ONLY during the spin cycles. I beleive it may be water coming over the top of the tub. I need to comfirm and get instructions on the removing of the...

it is the water pump probably it only pumps out and has pressure on it when it is spinning easy to remove just pull it away from the wall a couple of feet and tilt it back lay down on the floor and it is the first thing you see next to the front panel two clips and a couple of hose clamps

Fowl odor (sewer like) when washer is running.

Can you see the washer drain line,or is it inside the wall.
You should never smell sewer, I would find a good plumber,or a handy man that knows plumbing, and have him open the wall (if needed)
and install p-trap where the washer is located, at about floor level.
From what you said I think that someone ran a straight line to the cellar and installed the p-trap down there, also have them check the line to see if the line has been connected to a breather line, if not have him install a breather line right there with a one way breather valve inside the wall. The buildup and mildew around the compartment is due to the way it was made by the MFG of the machine, most 1000.00 front washers have a very poor design with this. All you can do is to remove it and clean it with bleach once a month. If you live in an nice area, but not very rich, the cost to do the drain should be around or under 350.00. I hope you get this squared away with no problems.
