Question about RCA TH1101 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Powering on I can't get the player to turn on any more. It has worked. I can put it in the USB port and get the songs from it and it lights up then. It just won't turn on.

To turn the player on - take out the batteries and replace them with new ones
To download songs - remove the cap and there should be a usb drive. put it in your computers usb port.

How do i put music on my ilo mp3 player?, when i upload it onto my computer. it wants me to either download a windows 98 driver or to put it in a different usb port.

use a xp machine and see if it work.if so then 98 won't work with your mp3.98 may have usb ports but you need special driver for it.some don't exist since the mp3 was built for xp or up-to-date operating systems.ou can charge it but not put songs.windows 2000 will work.there is very little usb devices that work with 98

I need to set it up and put songs on it and i don't know how?

Hi,

Often, most MP3 players would have a USB port and appropriate cable to connect to the USB port of a computer. Once connected so, the player wold appear as an external storage device and would be treated as such. If connected, most computers would auto-detect the device and the connection and would open it automatically or allow you the choice to open and view the files. "Putting songs" would then be "copy and paste" from your computer (where your songs are filed). It would be similar to copying a document to a flashdrive, a floppy disk.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

make sure what your putting on is MP3 or unprotected WMA files. If the light is blinking, then it means its playing the song, if you hear nothing, the audio is not in the correct format.

Powering on and off

This is the worst mp3 player ever invented - i have to tell you this up front. There is no driver, the company does not support the product anymore - I would return it now while you still can.

Either the device is bad, the pc port is bad, or the software is faulty. Try connecting to different usb port, then a usb port on a different pc with a compatible os. If still not recognized, then there is physical damage to player.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Are you sure that your puter has a usb 2.0 capability??? if not it wont let you use the player as you want. Go into systmes from control panel and then device manager and then scroll down to the usb ports and make sure you have the latest drivers for the usb 2.0.. if that dosent work then i would suggest that you dump what you have and then see what kinda memory you have availasble on the unit as there may be defective memory cells. Good Luck
