Never had a manual. It was a gift. It plays about 35 minutes of a book and dies. Can't turn it off. Can't get it going again. Must wait until everything dies and start from the beginning with downloading a book. The again, it works fine for a bit...and then see above. Thank you. sallymurrin@verizon.net
