Question about Motorola Mobility PEBL U6 Cellular Phone

Speaker problem? my motorola pebl doesnt ring when i receve calls or text messages and it doesnt sound when i turn to speaker mode. it doesnt play ringtones when i choose ring styles in the settings menu and it only vibrates to calls and text messages. i already tried turning off the phone, removing the battery... but there's still no sound even if settings are in loud and volume is at max. please help...

I did what aduno suggested about turning the phone off, since I always have it on, and it worked. I am still mad that this happened though. Most people leave ther phones on all the time, and they don't have issues. I just bought my phone in May and it started this at the end of October - Not even owned six months and it started this.

Otherwise, I love the phone. I am just disappointed in this incident. I hope that it doesn't have more serious problems later on...

I have a green moto pebl u6
it wasnt ringing aloud for quite some time and i wondered why, but i just turned it off, then back on and it actually rang.
i think the phone just needs a break. Turn it off for a while :)

Cay78 - have the phone firmware reflash you can do that online or take it to a mobile service center and have that done, that would correct the issues.

Oh seeeop the same happened to me and the reason is that the speakers on the phone probably blew out. Your best help will probably be to take it to the phone company and ask for them to fix it. U really can do nothing just messing with it in fact that makes it worse.

you may not need to have it reflash you should have the phone's speaker replaced first

you need to take the phone and have the speaker replaced but if it is still new it is under warranty still so you should take it back and have it changed or replaced.

Motorla PEBL not ringing

Okay Ive had this phone.
Do any other sounds on there work?
such as music in the sounds area?
Or Sounds in games?
If NOT I would think that the internal speaker has been damged by the water.I would try and get it repaired by motorola,or under warrenty.

If these sounds do work,and it is only just that there is no sound when you get msgs or calls,check your phone is set on a loud style,rather than silent or vibrate.Normally you can change this by going to Settings and icoming call alerts if im remebering right.
Or I Think you you can change it by the side buttons.

Can you not go to sounds and set a ring tone from there?
I Used to have a Pebl U6,and thats how i set my ringtones.

Can't hear

This is not a software or setting issue (unless you've been playing with the Bluetooth or headset settings and have them set to ON in your settings menu) and you should have it checked at your local cell provider as they might be willing to help you as I think it's that the ear-speaker has died. Sounds obvious, but this has happened to me before with the PEBLs.

My motorola pebl wont ring but I can play the ringtones manually. Help

Well look on your settings and set your ringing volume to full . check your phone for any settings that may affect your fone ringing . e.g make sure it isnt on silent , Hope i helped
