Question about Wharfedale DVD-M3 DVD Player

Wharfedale dvdr24hd160 - Segment or split hard drive recordings

Please can you advise me how to segment or split recodings on the hard drive as I seem to have lost the instructions and I can not work out how to action after choosing the action. If you can help or have a copy of the manual to download it would be very Helpful Thanks

I have a Wharfedale DVDR24HD160 dvd recorder which I'm trying to set up with my sky and new lcd hdmi tv and I have lost my manual. If anyone can help with the configuration settings or were to obtain a download of the manual, I would appreciate a any help.

I have followed the instructions to set up my DVDR24HD160 with a new digital receiver to my Sony TV using scart leads have sound but no picture, tried combination set from all manuals no success

Hi wendy, i have the same problem, i was trying to sort this out yesterday and found that when you select segment the recording starts playing you then press the right hand arrow button (blue) and hold until you have segmented the required amount. when you replay then the recording shows the deleted parts in gray.

XBOX 360 Error Codes

There are several error codes you can get with an XBOX 360, the first step to resolving any problem is finding the root cause. The fault codes are primarily shows on the "ring" on the front of your console (this is the ring split into 4 segments that shows when controllers are connected and what player position they are).

1 SEGMENT FLASHING RED - Thisindicates a displayable error code, the specific error code will bebeing displayed on the TV you have it connected too.

2 SEGMENTS FLASHING RED - The console has overheated.

3 SEGMENTS FLASHING RED - This is the somewhat infamous RROD (Red Ring Of Death).

4 SEGMENTS FLASHING RED - AV cable not detected.

If you have 1 segment flashing red indicating a displayable specific error code then you can identify the fault from the list below.

E45 - Update Error.

E64, E65, E66 - DVD Drive Error.

E67, E68, E69, E79 -Hard Drive Error.

E71 - Update Error.

E72 - Unknown.

E73 - General Hardware Error.

E74 -AV cable error.

E76 - Unknown.

I have recorded a film and want to remove the adverts but i can't work out how to segment. It is the wharfedale DVDRHD400

Scan the DVDR with TMPGEnc v4.0 Xpress this way you can cut clip to you hearts content.

You will have to split the title and record on more than one DVD. The default speed is SP, that is 2 hours of recording. If you want to record longer programs, go into setup and change the default record speed to one of the other settings, for example: SP+ which is 2 1/2 hours or one of the other longer record settings. This DVD burner will only record at the same speed as you recorded to the hard drive. You can also edit out the commercials by using segment. Go to the title you want, press the right arrow, scroll down and select segment. When you want to start your edit, press enter. when you want to stop the edit, press enter again. You can use your right arrow to skip forward 30 seconds and your left arrow to skip back 10 seconds if you went too far when editing. You will see where your edits are on the screen by the darker color. Do this through the whole program. When you record to DVD, the commercials will not be recorded. Hope this helps you.

You cant try updating the bios, but it seems that the hard drive has major, perhaps unrecoverables damages

Can't open HDD drive

Hi
1. Start > Run > type in cmd then click OK to get a command prompt.
2. Type in chkdsk e: /r (replace e: with the drive letter of your external hard drive).

This won't do any harm, it will fix errors on the disk and try to recover data from bad sectors. It might not solve the problem but it's worth a try. Jyo

Polaroid Will NOT edit out Commercials!

You need to post edit the recording;
First unprotect then do a split before the commercial
than split after, then recombine the parts without the ad.
Cumbersome, but it works

make sure you are recording on to a dvd-r or dvd+r disc and that you close the disc down or they will not read on other players

I had the same, turns out I pressed the 'HDMI' button, this switches over the display to the HMDI port. If not connected the scart can just show a grey and black screen.

To overcome this either display on a HDMI screen or do the following (I do not have a HDMI TV).
Switch off then on without a DVD in the machine to ensure that therecorder is showing TV. Press 'SETUP', Down, Right, Down, Down, Right, Up then OK. Should go back to scart.
