Question about Frigidaire ATF6000ES Front Load Washer
Yesterday the washer Frigidaire (MOdel GLTF1670ASO) Gallery Series stopped spinning. The water will come into the tub but the tub will not spin on any wash or spin cycle. Belt is intact?
The problem is the door latch assembly. You can get it at your local parts supplier or oder it through repairclinic.com. Should cost $50-$55. My hubby is replacing mine now. Not an easy part to replace, but by all information I have gathered from the manufacturer and the parts department, this is a common problem and most likely the cause of the machine not spinning. It runs through all the rest of the cycles, but will not spin, even on spin only cycle. The good news... if you replace the door latch assembly once, the replacement part is much stronger than the original and shouldn't have to be replaced again.

We had the same problem with it not spinnig out... We paid big bucks last year for a repair man, only for it to do it again. My husband took the front panel off the washer, disconnected the hose that goes into the pump, cleaned all the change and strange things that it had collected out, and when he hooked it back up, it worked just fine....

The repair man called me to save me a trip charge.....my washer has a welded part broken in the drum....what he referred to as a "spider". I was told to fix my washer would run around $750.00. That's just a little less than what I paid for the set! My NEW set is being delivered today! No, it's not Frigidaire...lesson learned!

Might be a burned (a few coils) motor - feel any burned paint smell?
Alternatively, a broken belt - you'd hear rthe motor spinning, though - or some sensor/wiring malfunction.

Could be a number of things. If you have checked all the connections to electric motor and found to be okay, The next thing i would check is the motor brushes. They may be worn down and need replacing.
