Question about Mintek MDP-1815 Portable DVD Player
How do I hook up MDP-1815 Portable Dvd Player to a TV at a friends house to watch a dvd on a larger tv?
Check and see if you have A/V out jacks on the unit. If you do, they will be yellow, red, and white.
They are called RCA jacks, and if you have them, and the TV has the same type of jacks, then you just need the cable that goes in between. The DVD player normally comes with them, but if not, you can purchase them at any Circuit City, or even Walmart.

The point is not if it can be done with standard RCA to RCA cables (it can't, and if you'd ever seen this unit, you'd know), the question is what cable is required? The size of the opening on this unit for the AV out is a mini (1/8") jack. This implies a standard mini AV multi-plug (looks sort of like a headset connector) to audio stereo and video out (yellow for video, red for right and white for left). Radio Shack would have this cable. This would be an NTSC output (not HD), meaning that you would need a TV that has RCA video in inputs.
