Try one or more of these solutions:

  • Make sure that you are using the appropriate printer driver for this product.
  • Windows users can make sure that this product is selected as the default printer.
  • Check the settings on the Main menu (Windows) or in the Page Setup dialog box (Macintosh). Make sure the settings are appropriate for the paper size you are using.
Run the Head Cleaning utility to clear any clogged nozzles.

My printer wont print documents with black ink, its a brand new ink cartidge..any ideas on what to do?

I had this same problem after replacing the black ink cart. I pulled all the inks out and used a Q-tip to swap the area where the ink goes in. I also used a sewing needle to poke around a bit and clear out any clogs. I then went throuh 5 cleaning cycles. It works now.

Paper jammed but no paper is jammed.

Sounds like something has fallen into the paper path. Use a flashlight and small mirror to look down the slot where the paper goes. You may have to use a straightened paper clip or the like to help remove the obstruction.

Nothing prints out on paper.

Did you remove the little sticky tabs from each new cartridge? They allow air in, and ink out.

Acts like it's printing, ink is good, but nothing prints out on paper.

Have you removed the tear off tape from top of cartridges, it lets the air in and ink flows.

My black ink in my PIXMA MP760 printer will not print. I have gone throuh the maintenance process for cleaning and deep cleaning the heads and it still will not print any black whether it is text or...

The print Head has gone bad. Not using a printer that often will dry out the print head. The print head is where the ink goes. Try to get a cue tip and put some Alcohol in the place where the ink goes through. These should be small sponge like things underneath the ink cartridges.

Epson c60 printer

Common problem with Epson Printers.
Either the print head is clogged, or the tube that goes from the pump to the printhead fell off.

Open the printer cover so that the ink cartridges are in open view and then UNPLUG THE PRINTER" so that the ink cartridges wont go back to home position. (If there is a change INK cartridge button, then press that then uplug the printer when the cartridge stops moving.)

You can try to clean the print head by folding up a couple paper towels, then saturate it with windex with amonia. Place it under the print head assembly and manually move the print head assembly over the paper towel back and forth to clean the bottom of the print head assembly. You should start seeing ink on the paper towel.

After cleaning, run the cleaning program that Epson has, and try it out.
If it still doesn't work, then you might have to repeat this a couple more times.
If it still doesn't work, then it might be time to get a new printer.
Hope this info helps.
Good luck.

IP1000 cannot print black ink

This is what worked (so far) with my Dell1.gif AIO A940 printer1.gif that wouldn't print black ink.

It worked for awhile when I chose photo/glossy paper, but then it quit printing again (see below).

PRINT, PROPERTIES, PAPER SETUP, SPECIALTY PAPER, PHOTO/GLOSSY

I got it to print, again, by putting SEVERAL papers in the feeder (instead of just 1) - there is a sensor that is supposed to automatically detect paper type, and it might not be working right, especially with one or only a couple of sheets.
