Plug in RCA cables from the "Component Video Output" of the DVD to the "Component input" on TV

on the TV's menu switch to the video source of the Component Video you plugged in the DVD. you should see the DVD you are playing.

Cable box have HDMI port, hook it up on a HDMI cable to the tv,will improve picture quality greatly.Tries HDMI cable to hook up the PS3 system and go in setup changes to HDMI setup will get HD format picture, will be very clear no more grainy and inconsistanty.

Hello, i am trying to hook up my xbox 360 to my

Make sure the tv is set to A/V 1 if it has multiple A/V hookups make sure the tv is on and set to the A/V channel you are trying to use. And make sure your cable is set to tv if you have a composite cable. If that does not work try buying a composite cable (thats the yellow red red blue green white cable). If that does not work. There might be something wrong with the xbox or tv.

No sound when the tv is on

There's just not enough information to help yet.

Is the TV just by itself getting a signal off air?
Is it hooked up to a cable system where audio goes to a surround sound system or does a cable box just have a single cable that goes to the back of the TV?
Can you provide a bit more detail about exactly what the general hookups are?

Cant get my cable hooked up

check your unit if it is cable tv compatible.then, hook your cable to antenna in.then do the manual tunig/search for channel.if not, you'll need to buy a cable converter ,much better if it has audio/video out.

Element 32'' LCD TV, has picture but no sound

The S-video cable doesn't have hookups for audio, only video. It's better than the video coaxial cable. But, you still need to hook up the right and left audio coaxial cables.

Dvd/vcr without cable hook-up

If ** cable TV hookups exists, then the only inputs you can use are the line-in along with audio left/right. You've probably got a slew of output connections. Your unit does **t contain a tuner (which would allow you to use a cable input). You need to have a cable box or other device (vcr/tv) that has outputs compatible with the input of your dvd/vcr. A lot of dvd/vcrs are that way. It actually saves you some $$ since most cable boxes (especially HDTV compatible) already have the required outputs on them.

Trying to Install

Do you have the red, white and yellow hookups on the back of your TV????? If you don't then you need to get an RF Modulator. You can buy one at Walmart. Older TVs don't have the red, white and yellow hookups. You hook up the RF modulator with a short cable to the cable outlet on your TV. Then you plug in your DVD player to the RF modulator. You also plug your cable for the TV into the RF modulator. It really is very simple. Directions are included with the RF modulator. You will need a short piece of cable also.
