Cant get the net work key for wpn824v2 - NetGear RangeMax WPN824 Wireless Router (WPN824NAR)

There is two pass key's one for the service provider and the other is for the wireless connection between your laptop and the router.Read your manual.

The network security key is set up by the owner of the network.

Some things to try:
1) Check the current version of firmware on your WPN824v2. If it is older than version 2.0.26, then try downloading and installing the firmware update to see if this resolves the issue.

2) Check whether disabling IPv6 on both laptops makes any difference. If you need help doing this, please ask me in a reply.

3) Verify that both laptops are using automatic (DHCP) IP address assignment

4) Verify that MAC address filtering is not preventing the second laptop.

Use a computer that is working with the router, wired or wireless.. Then login to http://192.168.1.1 or http://routerlogin.net

enter admin for username and password for password. Once logged in, click Wireles settings on the left panel.
You will see Security option, this should show WEP if the router is really using WEP, then you will see key 1,2,3,4 boxes underneath, whichever is selected and has the series of characters, that series of characters is youe WEP key. Make sure not change any settings as it will affect other wireless devices currently connected.

Please see this page for recalibration procedure. If that doesn't work, then then the touchscreen needs to be replaced.

Cant see why not, as long as you have the original key as well for the other car. If you search the net for Audi A4 key programming there are sites that tell you how for differant models.

Thanks for posting. First reset the modem by pressing the reset button, then connect to the admin page of the router, normally the gateway IP (http://192.168.1.1). The you will find the WAN (isp) settings. Enter your login info for your isp and clone your mac address, normally under advanced. __________________

If the default username and password is not working you wont be avle to access the router setup page, so the next step that you need to do is tor eset the router and reconfigure it back, to reset it press and hold teh reset button of the router for 15 seconds while the power is ON then after that the default username and password should be working...
