Question about Acer Aspire 3680 Laptop

I went back to windows xp but my 802.1 1b/g wireless lan wont work what can i do to fix this ?

    I tried both of htose drivers but i get the same orror code 10 when i restart windows ! I had to buy this belkin wireless g cord just to get online to get this problem fixed ! is there anything that will let me fix this problem easily ??????

    I did everything just as You said to but that did not do it either ! I am about to give up on it ! It is getting to be a pain for both me and you !

    That could be to. Thr guy i talked to at acer said that all the drivers were listed to go back to windows xp but they are not working with it though !!!

Go to this site:

Click notebook, then your model Aspire 3680. Then the broadcom 802.11b+g driver and download and install that driver.

    Go to that same page and download the Atheros driver instead.

    1. Right-click My Computer.

    2. Click Properties.

    3. Click the Advanced tab.

    4. Click the Environment Variables tab.

    5. Set a new variables in the System Variables box (the lower panel):

    Variable: devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices

    Value: 1

    6. Start, Run, devmgmt.msc

    7. Click the View tab, Show Hidden Devices

    8. Remove any "phantom" or grey-ed out device entries that exist for your Atheros adapter.

    9. Remove any "phantom" or grey-ed out driver entries that exist for the device under the Plug and Play drivers section.

    10. Uninstall the Atheros adapter by right clicking its entry under Network Adapters.
    11. Reboot
    12. Re-install Atheros driver

    Sorry you've had so many problems. I think it's probably an compatibility issue since you went back to XP from Vista. The hardware you are using could have been designed to run on Vista only and not XP.

hi, try to press the register/discover button on your router so as to make your computer able to detect the network or get the latest driver update for your wifi dongle/card

try to open the show all networks window disable the default ethernet connectoin then enable the wireless net work
