Question about Magellan RoadMate 700 GPS Receiver
I received the new update V6 for Roadmate 760 and it will not open in Windows XP. Tecks have checked out my computer and it works properly. I have called six, yes 6 times, and still have not received a correct answer. The Magellan tecks have suggested a few of the following: deleting all temp files, running several programs, waiting for 24 hours and they will call back with an answer- none of which have worked. What number or whom does one call to get the correct disc?
I too wasted money on the V6 (actually V5.37) updates which were already 10 months old when released. I was told it would include Magellan Tools but it does not. I was told I could add cameras but that's not easy.
Phone support will cost you lots unless you have free calls access as thery can take 20mins to answer AND I too have several unanswered website enquiries plus a failure to follow up on a registered case.
The only way to get a new disc is to contact support in France OR if you paid by credit card file a complaint with your CC company and get a refund - that is not difficult to achieve and will wake up Magellan.
