GE Profile dishwasher GSD4930X88WW will not start C3 error code

Good day. I have a GE profile dishwasher model in sibject line that is not working. I am a retired Electonic Engineer and sadly have no wiring diagram to help work through the bug.( none on panel of machine ). I have replace the stop check valve that is on the finial output as was suggested for a C3 error code. This has not helped. The unit powers up that goes to a C7 after I reset that the unit defaults to the C3 code. Some time it powers up ( that is digital display only- NO operations active ) then show the C3 fault code first thing.
I am looking for any suggestions along with a wiring diagram / schematic if available. If not can you tell me if all relays / survo's / etc operate on a 110 VAC bases or are there step down voltages that operation the units functions.
I thank you for your help and look forward to NOT washing dishes by hand...!
Take care
Sincerely MR. Clean hands.

The wiring diagram for GE dishwashers is usually found under the dishwasher, take the bottom panel off, then look for a envelope about 3"x5" up against the bottom side of the floor of the dishwasher, right under/behind the front edge. If its not there it makes servicing it tougher. C3 code means the drain sensor is not functioning, C7 code means the temperature sensor is not functioning.
As to the voltages used, I would only know that by looking at the wiring diagram (which I do not have).

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

GE profile refrigerator freezer fan noise

This is just one of a million reasons why they need recall initiatives in appliances like they do vehicles. So many of these manufacturing errors, which is what they are because they could be avoided if they were made right. We just had an issue with a fridgedaire dishwasher where the door spring had already broken, that should not happen after 4 years. Our USA products stink when it comes to good and basic manufacturing practices, still relying on "the good ole customer going to call for service" Nope, we just won't buy your USA products, which is sad, very sad.

GE Profile GSD4010202AA Built in Dishwasher acts as if no power

1. turn breaker off to diswasher. 2. remove bottom access cover. 3. remove cover over electrical connection box on right side. 4. hold each wire nut connector and firmly tug on one wire at at time to make sure none of the wires pull out of the wire connecor nuts. A loose connection here is more common than you might think.
If those are all OK, turn breaker back on and make sure you have power there. (120 volts black to white) If that was OK, then check door latch switch inside door at the top center and wires passing through door at the bottom of the door.

Profile dishwasher not draining at end of cycle.

It would have helped if you provided the model no.

Check this GE website for possible causes. If you do not have the user manual then you can also download it from here, But you will need the model number. (should be etched on the body of the dishwasher)

Is this GE Profile dishwasher recalled?

No recalls on any GE Profile model dishwashers. (there may have been service bulletins, but no recalls) Also, you missed the first two letters of the serial number.
You can go to this web site to find info on any GE recall.

My ge profile dishwasher oveheated.

There was a recall on some GE dishwashers, but yours was purchased a bit before those affected. Just to be sure, go to and input your full model and serial number (including the last letter of the serial number). Of the models affected by the recall, I've personally seen (and have photos of) one that burned, plus one that was close to it. Recalled ones can be updated for free, or if you decide to replace, qualify for a rebate toward a new GE dishwasher. (the recalled ones had problems with the wiring inside the door) If your model is not one affected by the recall, I would contact GE customer relations via their answer center phone (800-626-2005) to report this potential safety issue.
