On the rear panel of your router next to the power adapter is a recessed button labeled "RESET". Using the tip of a ball-point pen, push and hold in this button for a minimum of 20 seconds while the router is plugged in. Unplug the router and then plug it back in. Give the router a minute or two to reboot and you should be able to log into the routers administration page using the default user name and password.

How do I recover a forgotten password for an overdrivepro63E wireless internet stick

Wireless networking is a common feature in homes and offices.
Wireless routers provide access to a single Internet source, and wireless passwords ensure that only select users can access the network.
If a password is forgotten or lost, the password can be recovered or reset by accessing the router's Web-based settings menu.
Most wireless routers also have a reset button, which is capable of returning the router to its default settings which includes resetting the password.

Connect to your Wi-Fi or attach your computer directly to the router with an Ethernet cable.
Open your Web browser. Enter the default address of your router.
The default address is listed in your user manual or on the product website. Linksys and 3Com routers typically use "192.168.1.1" while Netgear routers use "192.168.0.1."
Enter your username and password.
Many routers use "admin" for the username and password by default.
Locate the wireless security settings.
Disable the wireless security.
Reset to Factory Defaults
Locate the reset button on your router.
Typically the reset button is a small indented hole on the back of the device.
Insert a long thin object such as a paperclip and hold down the reset button for 30 seconds to revert the router to its factory default settings.

I am trying to login as admin, to be able to change the default password and secure the signal, but the default username does not let me log in. I'm using 192.168.0.1, login-admin, password-(blank). H

Looks like you wil have to do a facotry reset. You can do a factory reset by logging into the router using you browser. Go to the settings and perform a factory reset

If you forgot the router password, you ill have to do a factory reset by locating a small hold on the back of the router and insert the tip of of paper clip for about 10 seconds while the power is on. The router will be reset to out of box status and then you can ssets-up form scratch.

I forgot the password and username, and i want to change the security password of my router what shall i do?

If you have forgotten the router's password then you have to reset the router to factory default to access the interface again. Then you can use the router's default user name and password, that is admin and admin (or username: " " (leave it blank) and password: admin (all in lower case)

You can find the default passwords on the following website;

http://www.routerpasswords.com/index.asp

Once you have logged in to the router console, you can set new security password

How can i changed the password of my router?

Log in to your NETGEAR router by browsing to http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com. Enter the username (admin) and password. By default, the password is password or 1234 unless it has already been changed. From the left-hand navigation menu of the Router Manager, select Set Up > Wireless Settings. From the center screen, select your encryption type from under the Security Options heading If the wireless network passphrase is visible, review it and use it to log devices onto your network.

If it is not visible, you can change your wireless passphrase; however, changing the passphrase will cause you to lose your wireless connection. Connect your computer to the router with an Ethernet cable before entering a new passphrase into the text box and clicking Apply.
If you cannot log into your router: Unfortunately, there is no way to recover a lost or forgotten password from a router or access point; you will need to reset the device to factory defaults. However, once the device is reset to factory defaults, you can use the default username ("admin") and password (either "password" or "1234" depending on your router) to reconfigure your router settings. if there is a small hole in the front or back of the router push a hair pin in to reset to factory settings
Hope this helps don

Have an ipod and dont remember the linksys password

goto a computer that is online.

Open up internet explorer or your favorite browser

type in 192.168.1.1

press enter

if you did not change the user name and password, username should be left empty with nothing in the username portion and the password is "admin"

if you did change the password and forgot the router password then you must hit the reset button on the back of your router to default the router and will need to reset up your wireless security settings.

but, once you get into the linksys administration page goto the wireless security section and you will see your wireless password there.

Need password to internet

You can't.

What you can do is reset the entire router. There should be a button on the back you can press in with a paper clip, hold it down for a few seconds, lights should flash.

Your router will then be reset to factory defaults. Without any more information I can not tell you how to find the default user/pass to log in.

Problem in setup wireless router, need default security key/phrase

If there reset the router to the factory settings:
Default Username: admin (lowercase)
Default Password: none (none, leave blank)

If this doesn't work, try pressing the reset button for 10 seconds with it powered ON. Then try it off. I can't remember which one will work.

After this is complete, username: admin and password: (nothing, blank, nada) will work.

Good Luck!
