Question about Frigidaire Dishwashers
I found that this dishwasher has a "re-setting" style thermostat, how do I test this with my Fluke 87 Mult-meter? What type resistance should I see or not see?
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

It sounds like theres not enough water in the machine if you are on hot water connection and it to hot you can damge the valve, try starting the dishwasher then when it starts to wash open the door a put in a few extra liters of water in and see if it sounds like its washing stronger that wont fix the problem but it will let you know if its a water inlet fault.sometimes you have to connect a dishwasher to cold water and they all heat themselves.ive had one bosch that was playing up because of the water temp going in and the pressure.if theres not enough water in it you will get a poor wash and not wash the soap out of the dispenser.hope this helps.ian

hi there aaliyazaidi2.is the water clear or dirty that you find in the dishwasher?there are two ways this could be happening.1,if the water is dirty[although it dose not have to be ,but its a sure clue]its you drain line of your dishwasher.what happens is because the drain line is lower than the sink drain, when you use your sink water runs by way of gravity in to the drain hose and then fills up your dishwasher, till you drain it or wash a load...to solve this problem you need too make a loop as we repairman call it.get some zip ties ,or what ever[string] and tie your drain hose off at the top off the sink under the sink cabinet[imagin your drain hose as a roller coaster, the hose coming from the dishwasher is the start of the coaster before it goes to the top of the big hill.what you want to do is ,at the top of the roller coaster hill, tie your drain hose to what ever you can under you sink causing a hill so when your hose goes back down ,it ends up into your disposer or what ever plumbing it ends up into.[hay i hope i helped you understand what i mean their];#2,the other way is your dishwasher water valve may not be sealing well. the water would only be clear if this was the issue and could be warm water because its only hot water to the dishwasher.what happens here is because the water valve is not sealing water slowly adds to your dishwasher may be drops at a time, and over the hours gone by it accumulates and the you notice water in the tub.to solve this you replace the water valve.its[most of the time blue, but could be tan or white]under the dishwasher.the water line from your house goes to it.i hope this helps you you can email if you need more help. God bless ,tom

I followed some of the good instructions already on Fixya. I had checked the heater and it was o.k. I then took the front door of the washer apart to get at the control box. Sure enough, I also had the common design fault. One leg of the rely had scorch marks and was now disconnected from the circuit board. I will solder tonight and test. I include a photo of the burned board. TNoel P

Tips for a great answer:
The vent is in the door and you need to remove the panel on the door. However, if you take the kick panel off the bottom, there should be a techincians guide attached to it and that shows all the tests etc that you can use to troubleshoot this.

To reset the control press and hold the AIR DRY/RINSE
ONLY/HEATED DRY button for 15 seconds, if it wont work then the control board
should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.
