Booting problems Hi, I have a problem starting my n300. I accidentally filled the onboard memory to the max and now the darn thing won't start. It will go as far as the bootscreen (with the pda scetch) but will lock itself after that. Any solutions? as it being a real hustle sending it back. (I live in sweden).

    Hi,

I have a problem with the acer n300 not starting/booting. I accidentally filled the onboard memory to the max and now the darn thing won't start. It'll go as far as to the bootscreen (with the scetch of the pda) but then it's locked. Any solutions, without me having to send it to the manufacturer. Bought it second hand and it would be a real hassle to send it back in regards of med being in sweden.

    Thank you for your help!

I have the same problem with the device, mine is a N311, the problem always hapenes if I turn of the cradle while the device is on it. Nothing can help solving the problem other than taking the device out, put it on the USB key without the battery, perform a hard reset and then put the battery in. Of course, you loose all your settings and intalled applications It sucks,.

The canon PowerShot SX210 IS only supports memory cards up to 4GB in size. Larger ones will work, but because of the format type the camera uses, it won't be able to read correctly past 4 GB.

I keep getting cod E10 and have no idea what this means.

Hi
This code usually means that there is no cold fill. If the cold isolator tap has not been accidentally turned off, then most likely the clamp-on pipe has corroded over time and needs changing to a proper isolator valve TEE. The other possibility is that the cold-fill valve has failed. This is the unit that the cold inlet pipe attaches to at the rear of the machine.
OR
Water hasn’t emptied before max empting time,(drain problem)it won’t spin because of this reason.

My motherboard have four leds in red light, d0 dled2,dled3 and don`t start up

Hi ntamayo,

Here is the description of what the four leds indicate:

14ff182.gifMemory Detection Test
- Testing onboard memory size. The D-LED will hang if the memory module is damaged or not installed properly

1719312.gifDecompressing BIOS image to RAM for fast booting

1cab634.gifInitializing Keyboard Controller

- This will start writing VGA sign-on message to the screen

2b36bf2.gifProcessor Initialization
- This will show information regarding the processor (like brand name, system bus, etc...)

9ec1db5.gifInitializing Video Interface
- This will start detecting CPU clock, checking type of video onboard. Then, detect and initialize the video adapter

When your motherboard is stuck on any of these signals, that's a clue that something is wrong with that particular device on the board. Replace it and try again.

Good Luck

And don't forget to leave a rating,

Thanks

Asrock p4s61, tried 1gb pc3200 to max memory to 3gb, won't boot.

you quote one of your memory sticks as being pc 2700 when earlier in your text you qoute pc3200.

Firstly pc 3200 is 400 mhz clock speed memory.Secondly, pc 2700 is 333mhz clock speed and you acnnot mix the two on the same board. Thirdly does your board support 3ghz anyway. If you are running a board at 400mhz, pc2700 memory will not run at 400mhz.

Solution, take out the pc 2700 memory and all will be well.

Memory

if you have onboard graphics then check that the onboard graphics is not sharing too much memory.

Also the system and windows will be using something so you will likely lose some of it because of it being the 32 bit version of vista.

Get cpu z or wcpuid or any other utility such as SIW and check with that because windows in my experience does not always report the correct amount of memory.

Pavillion 7995 won.t start

Did you discharge yourself of static electricity before touching the memory? Apparently static electricity can destroy memory. Also make sure the memory is correctly seated in the slot. Also check to see that everything inside the computer is properly connected. I have gone inside computers and have accidentally nudged something loose and as a result the unit would not work. Try a completely different memory stick than the ones you have now. These things are what I would investigate first.

ASUS MOTHERBOARD P5B-MX WIFI WON'T DISPLAY

Are you sure the onboard video is working? Try an external card and see if this works. All the beeps when you remove the memory is good because you know the processor is working. Are you sure you have the right memory? Some machines won't boot or anything when you have the wrong memory.

Asus motherboard p5b-mx wifi won't display vga

this can be caused by a number of issues the leading being RAM (no post beeps at all). before you do anything else pull all existing RAM and install a KNOWN GOOD STICK in their place and try again.if that doesn't work try resetting the mb (see the owner manual on how to do that) bios settings to defaults (this generally selects onboard video). if you have an installed video card within the system also remove that (even though you aren't using it). is that memory compatible you have there with the board? if its too slow the stick may be fine but mb may not "think" so. do you have keyboard "flash"? is the hard drive indicator constantly lit? how about cdrom drives and/or floppies? can you eject same? all this points to incompatible or "bad" memory as the main culprit.

Transcend Media Card

If you have another SD card reader you may want to try that - maybe the one in your printer cant see 2gb cards properly

And just to get it out of the way - Are you sure the card is plugged in the right side up? I have accidentally plugged in SD cards upside down...

hope this helps.
