Re: wireless connecting

Check the DSL PPP parameters on your router i.e username and password .Once you make sure your router is authenticating and authorized by your service provider check the wireless connections. An easy way to tell is connecting to the internet is by checking whether is getting IP address fron Service provider DHCP.
Hope this helps

Bought and installed a usb wireless lan for my desk top, it brings up all the wifi in my area, i can connect to my wireless router i am using now with my laptop but wont bring up web pages. shows i am...

To test your Internet connection use a LAN cable, connect to your laptop to your router and if you can get an Internet connection then most likely your USB wireless adapter is not configured correctly for connecting to your wireless router.
To connect your computer to a wireless router, you click the Refresh network list, then Choose your wireless network and then click Connect to your secured Wireless Network, it will asks for a Network Key before allowing you to connect into your wireless network. This Network Key is either the WEP, or WPA or WPA2 Encryption key that is used to configure the Wireless Router. The Passphrase is an alternate way to setup the Encryption key.
When you are requested for a Network Key, you can just enter the Passphrase that was used to configure the Encryption key in the wireless router. For information on securing your wireless network, configuring the wireless router and configuring the wireless card in the laptop/computer, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-

Why wont my wireless internet connect to any of my devices ive tried resetting them and everything

- First of all can you connect to the router via cable (ethernet cable)!!!
- Access the interface of the router and try disabling the wireless security on the router and save it.. With the help of your device try searching for wireless networks and if you see the router connect to it.. then if its connect it should work but careful ( anyone can access your connection then ) if that work then see with the person you bought the router..

ZyXEL P-330W wireless router

No it will not work you cannot connect a router to another router wirelessly and it will most likely not be detecting each other, routers are built to transmit internet signals from modems if you have a router and a computer but you do not have your own internet connection that will not work conencting to another router you will need USB Wifi Card transmitter/reciever to be able to connect to your friends wireless internet.

but if your friend only has a modem you can lend him your router and get a USB wifi transmitter/reciever to be able to connect to your router that is conencted to your friends modem this will work but will not work if you and you friend will both have a router creating a network.

The wireless internet connection wont work. we previously had a wireless connection and now it wont register. we lost the connection completely and it doesnt show up on the list of internet connections....

Try turning off the router for 30 secs, then power it up again.
Then try connecting a LAN cable from the computer to the router and see if you can connect to the Internet.
If you can connect to the Internet then -
With the LAN cable open a browser and type in the configuration URL and check the Wireless settings, then check and/or the wireless card settings (it should have the router's SSID and encryption settings etc.)
Also install the latest wireless card driver.
Then test the wireless and Internet connection. If this doesn't work -
Next connect the computer with a LAN cable to the cable or DSL modem to see if you can connect to the Internet.
If you cannot get an Internet connection with the LAN cable, contact your ISP and get them to test the connection to your modem.
If the modem and Internet is OK and you still cannot get a wireless connection then the problem could be a faulty wireless router.

Router wont connect more than 1 pc at a time

How many ports are there on your router? Is the router wireless? What are you trying to do, and how are you trying to do it? Connect your Modem to the router via the WAN (internet) connection, and other computers to the remaining ports on router. If your router is wireless, then there are more steps to the setup. Could you specify your router manufacturer and model?
