Re: Top box conns

Your freeview box tv scart goes to the tv /the dvd goes to the aux on freeview and you can connect your vcr to the tv if it has a spare scart socket or the dvd player

I just inserted my new radeon 7500 pci card and nothing comes up on either monitor . help please!!!

I read the reviews on your card and they are mixed, some good, some bad. Out of four, 2 could not make the card work. It is not supported past Windows Vista, altough one of the reviews said it wouldn't work past XP. Anyway, I don't know what system ao version of windows you are running but, if you are trying to upgrade and older system, you may want to choose a card with more recent support. The card is PCI so make sure you install in PCI slot, usually white. If you have on board graphics, make sure it's enabled to start. You want to make sure you have the card hooked up before restarting your system. It comes with s-video to composite cable, which will work fine if you have a composite set up on your monitor or TV. You can also use VGA or DVI outputs. If you have on board graphics and you get a picture using that, look in device manager under display adaptors and make sure card is recognized. You click on the box on the right side of "display adaptors". If you see Radeon, ATI, etc., right click on that and in the kist you should see "disable". If you see "enable" click on that and exit. If you have on board graphics, you should get a picture regardless of whether the card is installed or not. Make sure all your connections are good and that you have no warnings in device manager. If the card cannot be recognized, you could try to designate you PCI slot through BIOS.

I have red, white and yellow leads plus an S video going from the Dazzle to the TV and the TV connected to the VCR by a Scart, I record sound but no picture. Am I hooked up correctly and what do I select...

If you are using "Composite" output the leads are red/white = sound. Yellow = video. If you are using S-video cable then yes you will need to select that option in the menu.
Hope this helps, Dave

Transfer picture from laptop to my tv

You need to click the dropdown box and select the 2nd option. It should say "(Default Monitor)" in the beginning of it. Hit "Apply" and then "Ok". After that, the 'Fn+F5' combo should work. It should cycle through A) Laptop and TV, B) Just TV and C) Just Laptop.
Hope that helps.

GeForce 7200 GS 256MB won't work with tv

"the tv works and I can see my extended desktop, but ONLY in 800x600!!! Also when I tried to watch a movie on the tv, it only showed a black block"

1. Tv's only support max of 800x600 (technically less)

2. Windows has a built in ANTI theft BS protection that makes viewing video through an alternate output show up black boxed.
