My yahoo messenger disappears every time i sign in , i uninstalled and then re-installed but it still does working.
There is a virus. Try installing an antivirus.. or try this, run Command Prompt, Start>Run : type "CMD" without the quotes then type "cd\" then enter to go to the root drive. then, delete the virus by typing "del kxvo.exe /a /s /f" then enter. delete the autorun file as well "del autorun.inf /a /s /f" try signing in after you delete the file. Hope this helps.
I'm having this exact problem. i all of a sudden cannot log into yahoo messenger. i have tried uninstalling it various times and reinstalling 3 different versions. none of this was successful. the log-in window appears when i click the YM icon but it immediately goes off the screen once i try to log-in. please help!
I think this prob occurs when there is no java in the pc
so download the latest java the quick google search will take you there

Are you using the latest YM? why not try downloading the latest YM but before installing it, uninstall some unwanted programs or those that you dont use anymore...free some disk space.
then try installing the latest YM now.

First try sign off and sign in for few times , if you still face the problem then uninstall the yahoo messenger and reinstall
Even i also faced the same problem , For few times sign off and sign in had worked or even restarting the PC also worked.
But after uninstalling and installing the yahoo messenger i got rid of the problem
If uninstalling and installing the yahoo messenger also not work then follow the below two steps
STEP -1
go to Start Button - Run - type regsvr32 jscript.dll - then press OK
STEP-2
go to Start Button - Run - type regsvr32 vbscript.dll - then press OK
now your yahoo messenger will work normally.
