Colour issues my tv colour is mainly pink

A few months ago I replaced the IC for convergence problems and all was good. Recently when turning the TV on, there is a pink effect to the whole screen. This will eventually clear up after 20 minutes or so. Additionally, if we leave the TV on, it does not revert to pink. Is this something with the red gun? How can I check it?

Sounds like your red gun may be shorted, Try adjusting the red gun down a little see it that helps. You can also switch the blur CRT socket for the red if your screen is still mostly pink then you know for sure its your red tube that needs replacement. If its mostly blue then you have a problem in the red drive circuit.

Colour quality problem

I have never encountered an issue like the one you are describing here and I have owned a Wii for quite some time; If you have a spare TV plug it into that and see if it makes any difference.

Nintendo Customer support are really helpful when I have had issues with previous products just give them a call and they will undoubtedly identify the issue and/or replace your current console

Good luck!

Pink colour

Hi there!
May be that the colour Amp is at fault or the tube is busy failing. Commonly it would be the colour Amp (Dry joints or faulty drivers). The Green is dead. I have had cases where power surge can magnetise the tube to such an extend that the whole picture will show one colour. In your case I doubt it very much. Good Luck,JUS004

Colour stain

Yes it is A degause fault caused by either something magnetic being close to tv screen EG hifi speakers.
Or faulty degause thermistor, Or degause thermistor is not making good contact with pcb & only requires resoldering to pcb.
Allso try turning tv completely off at the mains switch leave a few hours then switch back on.
If you decide to take to A repair shop this repair is not expensive.

Picture problems

CRT green gun is not working properly , maybe dry soldered or no green drive signal. Pink and red colour is due to missing of green colour.
