Pac Bell Easy Note Sc - boot problems

Windows boot displays, then PB boot page displays.
This then restart and the process starts all over again.

Pressing F2 whilst PB screen display allowed me to go into Bios but i didnt relly know what to do.

It gives the option to go into safe mode, but this just restarts the process as well.

Not sure what else to try - any ideas.

(Needs to be in idiot english for me to follow)

Re: Pac Bell Easy Note Sc - boot problems

I think you should remove your Memory RAM at the back of the laptop and wipe the edges with a clean white can locate this also using your manual
Put it back and lets notice the results..
But if the problem still exists then i think you should change the memory RAM with a good one..

Please let me get back to me and let me know the results..

I want to reformat PB MS2303

Packard Bell is a computer manufacturer, now owned by Acer. Restoring your computer will erase the hard drive and install a fresh copy of Microsoft Windows. This is beneficial if the Packard Bell is showing its age and running extremely slow or has been hit with an incurable virus infection. Before attempting to restore the system, be sure to back up any data you wish to save.

1.Insert the Windows Setup CD/DVD into the computer's optical drive. The disc will have been included with the Packard Bell computer.

2.Restart the computer with the disc inserted. A black screen will appear when the disc is detected, displaying "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD..." Press any key on the keyboard to launch the Windows installer. The "Install Windows" screen will appear.

3.Click "Next."

4.Select "I accept the license terms" and click "Next."

5.Click "Custom" when asked what type of installation you'd like. The other option is "Upgrade," but in order to restore your Packard Bell system to its factory settings, you must reformat the hard drive.

6.Click "Drive Options" when asked where to install Windows. Select the C: drive and click "Erase." Select the unallocated space after it has been erased, and click "Format." Format the space using the "NTFS" file system.

7.Click "Next" and Windows will begin reinstalling on the Packard Bell's hard drive. The system will reboot when finished and launch into your newly restored Packard Bell.

I have a packard bell nav50/DOT S2. I wont boot properly. Most of the time it turns on, the possessor kicks in for a bit then stop, nothing on the screen at all. Sometimes it boots with the PB BIOS...

Download and burn a copy of memtest86+ to CD and then boot from that CD and it should automatically start the test program. If you have a bad memory it will be immediately obvious on the screen.

The issue is due to presents of earlier operating system files which are avoiding you to reinstall the os.
At this point I recommend you to clean the hard disk and then try for fresh installation. However, I am providing you the steps below:

Booting repeatedly at compaq window itself,it is not takes up WINDOWS OS.

Solution 1:
When you start the system, press F8 and then select "Last known good configuration". If it does not work the first time, try at least three or four times.
Solution 2:
You can try installing the OS again but you will lose the data in your c drive.
Solution 3:
Check with the BIOS configuration, Take a note of the original configuration before you make any changes.

As you boot up press the F8 function key, you will then be able to select Last Known Good Configuration, if you are lucky Windows wil start up OK.
If not shutdown and restart again and press F8 again, this time select Safe Mode, this time if Windows starts up the screen resolution will be standard VGA mode. You will then be able to work out what is wrong.
If this doesn't work you will need to boot up with the Windows CD and do a system repair.
If this dosn't work you will need to do a complete reinstall of Windows plus the device drivers and all your software programs. Note - you will lose your data in this process.
