Question about Sewing Machines
I really need your help. I had presented my wife a Janome HeartTruth 2008 sewing machine, purchased in US (120 V). Out of excitement, she plugged the sewing machine socket in Bangalore, India (230 V). There was no noise or smoke, however, I am unable to get any help from other sewing machine service provider. We have also tried with adapter and step down transformer, however to no use. Since it is difficult to ship the machine to US again, appreciate if you can help me fix this problem pls.
You need to replace the fuse inside the transformer/power supply. It requires an 800ma 250 Vac Bussman fuse that is 1.25 inches long. You more than likely blew that fuse plugging it into the 230V supply. With a new fuse it should work with a voltage stepdown to 120V.
