Did you format the hard drive first?
typically you need to format the hard drive using the NTFS file system before you install your operating system.

does your bios recognize the hard drive?
make sure your bios detects the hard drive.

can you boot your computer in Safe Mode? If so, do that and use your error log to find the specific cause of the blue screen,

lastly post the blue screen error message on here to get a better answer.

Acer aspire 5515 blue screen

hi
yes it may be related to bios setting . Just enter your bios in the laptop (F2)
and for HD change the SATA to ATA or vice-versa. SAVE and retry boot.

(it can also be AHCI to ATA or ATA to AHCI.)

Had a power failure in my area, my dell desktop was on at time. When I turned it back on I got blue screen which I know is not good. Decided to install new/bigger harddrive since I need to install windows...

Hi, you need to change your primary boot device, try pressing the F1 key during bootup, this will take you to the BIOS screen, from here you can change your primary boot device from HD to CD, save your changes, reboot, selecting boot from CD when it appears during bootup.
Hope this helps

I have a 52 jvc television and for some reason it wont turn on. the red and blue light in front will blink but there is nothing showing on the screen.

You need to replace the power supply board. The new ones have a bigger heat sink - obviously JVC knows about the problem because they made the new ones bigger. It cost $250 from JVC and I installed it myself - took about 3 hours to do. If you are not tech savvy call a repairman. Hope this helps.

Hard Drive Prevents any other windows device from loading

Hi, Mark Here.
Yes the setup on the xp install puts drivers into memory, but being an older version of windows B4 sta was out it does not have drivers to support it.

You could go to Microsoft & search for a new version of setup install drivers that includes sta, & download to thumb.
Really typical Windows Failure (driver not available freeze up or blue screen).

Trying to boot from a hd from my old comp

Hi,

MS Windows XP when installed to an HD will "marry" itself to the hardware of the original computer specifically the motherboard. Transplanting the HD to another PC with a different motherboard will result in a cycling blue screen of death or protective message requiring that you reboot. Running in Safe Mode will not also be allowed.

You need to re-install your OS (boot from CD) but choose the 2nd repair option rather than a new/clean install or the first repair option if you want to preserve your other applications as well as your settings/configuration. Doing this will allow the OS to install the new device drivers and delete the old ones.

Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

God luck and kind regards.
