Phone is Nokia E61i on USB or Bluetooth
I am using latest drivers: 6.85.35.3 (Nokia 11/5/2007)
Phone works to computer, e.g. I can transfer files.
I have removed the phone from Dev Man and disconnected/reconnected the USB cable.

I have reinstalled PC Suite and managed to get rid of all the errors in Dev Man. The phone is automatically recognized by PC Suite but still will not connect to the Internet. PCS version is 6.85.14.1.

    Thanks for your help.

  • scubajock Jan 16, 2008

Connection from PC Suite results in the message "Failed to connect to the network! The modem may be used by another application or the modem may not be configured properly." If done from Connect to a Network, "Failed to connect to Nokia E61i USB Modem(OTA)."

The problem has been solved. After removing all access points and the PC Suite software and reinstalling everything I have all the functions back. I have full Internet access from the phone and I have a wireless modem at 3G speed. Thanks to Otacon for your assistance.

Hi,

Did you install the PC Suite properly?...meaning the phone and the cable was not connected to the computer prior to installation. Also, which version of PC Suite do you have?

When you install PC Suite and when it asks you to connect the phone...it should detect the phone and recognize it as many different devices (including modem) and then installs the proper drivers. After the installation, all you need to do is launch "connect to the internet" from the PC Suite and then configure the settings. Here is a guide from Nokia.

Do you have an internet enabled data access from your mobile provder? I don't mean WAP access...I mean internet access (sockets).

if you haven't fixed it yet
with win 10 you have to go into graphics board driver properties and set to capability win os that you were using then down a bit further you will see a list of settings starting with 250
unclick any ticked and then when you set the pixel setting to 32 or 64 it will stay there
while it operates ok on win 7 and others , for some reason win 10 doesn't like that 250 ticked

Low sound and buzz from speakers / Hum noise from sub-woofer

Select Start > (right click) My Computer > Manage
In the Management window select > Device Manager
Next to Sound, Video and Game Controllers click the + sign
A yellow triangle will signify a problem so if one is present, right-click that device and select Properties
You can then choose to update the driver

Did a complete system reboot for vista home premium 32 no longer have localdisk (:D). where did it go and how do i get it back also system reboot quit working now so cant reboot again

"D" may have been a virtual device residing on the "C" physical device. When you reloaded the OS, your drive shold have been overwritten and you didnt create the "D" device.

I think you meant to say you did a reload of the OS, not a complete system reboot. Actually, every time you shut your computer down - and start it back up in the morning (whehever) you do a 'complete reboot'.

You could look inside to see if there are two physical devices (hard drives). If there are, there is probably a setting you need to change in the BIOS/CMOS area. You normally do not see this part of the POST process. I would expect to press a F (some number) key before the OS actually boots up to gain access to the setup of the BIOS.

I hope this information helps you solve your trouble. If you have more questions, ask.

If my response pleases you, positive comments are appreciated.

On my Dell Inspiron 1521: Broadcom Network Adapter Error Code 10

Go to Dell and download the driver from there. The MS driver doesn't actually control the device, only controls function after device is active and working. Look on the bottom or back of the computer for the Dell service tag number, and use this to identify the correct device and get the device drivers. You may also find some other things there that weren't installed by the OS.

Some USB-connected devices don't show up as drives

Hey Kunal,

This is not unusual windows will only recognize the standard memory cards not any custom ones or inbuilt ones. For example if your device is using a SD memory stick it will show up in explorer however if you are using a device that has a copyright or custom it wont. I am surprised the digital camera is doing the same thing as thy use mmc cards which are standard and should show up.

With these devices when you connect it to a pc you would get an option on the lcd on the device that would need you to confirm connection. may be thats what you were looking for. If you have a memory card reader you can try using that as well.

Please rate if this fixed it or was helpful.

If i missed something let me know.
