Question about Creda W100FW Front Load Washer
I have a front loading creda 1000 eco washing machine that will not spin at all. the timer seems to work fine, but the drum does not move at all through any of the cycles. the belt is in tact, but the motor isn't moving. last time i tried it, it was turning a for a little bit. again nothing. i don't know wether it may be the brushes or a balance sensor or what. Please Help!!!!!
Comment by credawash, posted on Jan 01, 2008 got the brushes in, and wow! things started going well. ran a couple of spin cycles as directed, and before i put the lid back on i dropped a tool into the machine. i was leaning over with my arm inside , and i guess my belt switched the machine on without knowing it, and must have moved the door release cable into contact with the motor and got a good spark that shot out of the bottom of the motor, now the motor isn't working again. might there be a fuse i could have blown? or did i toast the motor. was a really stupid thing to not have unplugged the machine. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!
Comment by credawash, posted on Jan 02, 2008 Ok, I think i judged where the spark came from. when looking down into the guts of the machine from the load side, there is a electrical board (the brains i would assume) on the right side. behind it i noticed that there is a burn mark on the sheet metal. I am sure this panel must have pushed up against the sheet metal when i was trying to retrieve my tool. Is the panel history? how spendy could it be?
Comment by credawash, posted on Jan 14, 2008 i have no idea how to identify the fuse on this thing. auto fuses sure, but on this thing, i am not at all familiar as to what i am looking for, nor where it might be located. would it be on the board itself? please help!!

Yes, the fuse is on the motor control board and normally is or looks like glass auto buss fuse.
