Paper jam

my printer won't load paper from the tray. Initially it gives an indication that the paper is out, then when I hit the resume button, it indicates a jam. When I open the tray, the paper has started to load, but it stops. Nothing is obstructing the path. I can feed single sheets in the slot, just can't use the tray. Any suggestions?

Kind of surprised, not much dirt came off, but it sure worked immediately. Thanks so much for the help.

GuruSounds like the pickup roller is worn or dirty. Try cleaning the pick up roller for the tray. If this doesn't work the pick up roller will need to be replaced.
