How do I connect my logitech mouse and keyboard to my pc??

Since you haven't mentioned your keyboard or mouse mode, i will provide general help.

  • Check if any of the cable connecting the mouse or keyboard is damaged or short(cut) somewhere between device and connector pin. If yes, you may require to avail warranty or give it to the nearest service centre.
  • Check if the pins of the connector is not damaged.
  • Check if you have installed your drivers or is it up to date. You can download and install drivers from
  • Check if your motherboards have any problem with it's south bridge.(You may require the help of your service technician for this step)
Hope this may solve your problems. If you any more doubts, feel free to ask me....

Cursor does not move after complete system restore--cannot get past country-selection page of set-up because numbers and tab directional keys do not work for Back and Next keys at bottom of display....

1) Are the Logitech keyboard, and mouse USB? Do they have a USB connector on the end of their cables?

If you use a PS/2 connector adapter, you'll be able to workaround this problem, and use System Restore.

Then try to use the System Restore disks again.

Or borrow a keyboard and mouse that use a PS/2 connector, and try to use the System Restore disk/s again.

2) Under the B in Back, and under the N in Next, see if there is an underline. ( _ )
If so you can press the b key, and the Enter key to use Back.
Same for Next. Press the n key, and Enter key.

USB Keyboard and mouse wont work with PS2 KVM with adapter

Have you tried rebooting once it is connected? Not sure if it makes a difference, but I know you can not hook up PS2 peripherals without rebooting.

Mouse will not work when plugged in.

What kind of mouse is it? If it has a round plug, then it's a PS/2 mouse, if a rectangular one than it's USB.

Either way, I suggest getting a new mouse. Get a laser mouse instead of a mouse with a ball in it. They last much longer. I've been buying Logitech brand mice for years and find them to be reliable.

For example, at Staples you can probably pick up a basic, wired, USB Logitech mouse for under $30, maybe less than $20. I recommend wired over wireless, wireless ones burn up batteries quickly.

Also, I've found that if you have a round PS/2 plug for a mouse instead of USB, many of the Logitech mice come with a little green adapter in the package that will let you plug the USB mouse into a round PS/2 port.

I know this is a dumb solution, but mice are so inexpensive these days that messing around with an older mouse simply isn't worth the effort.

Wireless mouse and keyboard stopped working

what brand make and model ... most have a connect button on the bottom of the mouse and keyboard ... also is your connector plugged into a USB hub ... if so put it directly into a usb port on the computer ... to troubleshoot remove other usb divices and see if you can get it to work ... if its a name brand like logitech they are very good at just replacing things for free if you contact them... as long as the warr is not to far out
