Try this procedure:

Adjust the green & blue CRT screens to match the red. Go into your picture menu adjust, turn color all the way down to a black & white picture. Now adjust each CRT screen so that you end up with a true black & white picture. Then adjust each focus control to get a sharp picture, and adjust each CRT focus one at a time for clarity by covering the other two up. Then go back into picture adjust and turn color half way up, you should see a better picture.

If you cannot get the blue & green to even out to a black & white screen you have other problems such as faulty CRT card on back of tube or it could even be that the video IC is faulty. If this is the case, then you may have to get a competent local technician to check the TV and get the necessary parts replaced. It could set you back between $200-$400, depending upon how many components need replacing.

You can also try a hard reset..Unplug all cables, including power from the back of TV. Wait for 4 hrs and reconnect them. Try and see if it works now.

Hope that helps...Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.

Older big screen hitachi w/pip tube tv and has blue lines across the screen turn off on it own sometimes.

It could be time to retire the TV.
The blue almost horizontal lines are probably a fault in the flyback blanking and the fact that it will turn itself off is likely due to a poor solder joint on a circuit board inside.

Sanyo flat screen tv about 2 yrs old has thin colored horizontal lines down the right side

Nothing you can do about that...get used to it or change the TV.
It's a defect in the panel that can't be reliably fixed.

1. My Sony KP-57WS500 TV is turning blue after abut 3 minutesof operation. It stays that way for about 30 miunes and comes back with pictures again, but with predominatly blue color. 2. Sometimes the TV...

Sounds like the picture tubes are failing, common on sony. do you notice any thin horizontal lines? You mite get lucky and be able to adjust the voltages. Remove back cover and look inside to see which tubes are lighting up.The front panel below the screen will come off and behind it is a small access cover.remove it. there you will find the voltage controls (its a plastic square with 6 knobs). 2 knobs for each tube, 1 is focus the other is the voltage labeled "screen". they are marked so look closely. Green is always in the middle but sometimes they flip the controls for red and blue so pay attention to which you are controlling .slowly adjust screen voltages to see if you can get it to stay on. If you over do it those thin horizontal lines will pop up and the tv will shut off again. If you already have lines back off the voltage by turning knob to the left slowly until they diappear. If that seems to fix it but the problem but it comes back later, then the tubes are shot. good luck!

Help me to fix the TV

Try to inspect for a loosed connection in the printed circuit board especially in the horizontal circuit. This includes the ic for horizontal oscillator, transistor for horizontal driver, horizontal output transistor and the high voltage section which includes the flyback. Pls. observe safety when dealing with these ciruits coz it deals with high voltage! Good luck!!

No Blue. Horizontal Lines.

Not to me, but it also depends on if you could do this yourself or not. And the area you are in sometimes is responsible for the cost being high.
