While I was watching tv, my picture went out. The sound stil plays and the remote works. Only the picture has stopped. Any solution to how to fix this?

This sounds like you accidentally hit the input button on your remote. It will either be INPUT or SOURCE on you remote. Turn on your TV and source(cable box) and hit one of those buttons until your picture comes back

Not knowing brand and model number most of these sets have a 4-5 year life and parts for a set of this age may not be available.

The risk in repairing a set this old is it may just fail again and again.

If your TV has a picture but no sound, start by checking the obvious such as whether the mute button is on or whether the volume has been turned all the way down.

Next check your cable connections and make sure everything is plugged in tightly.

Change channels to make sure that it's not a technical difficulty with your TV service provider or TV station. Call your service provider to see if they're experiencing issues with their audio.

Try reconnecting the HDMI cable after you turn off the TV.

Make sure your remote is on the correct input, and see if you have sound while playing a DVD or video game.

First of all, change the input device to something you know works for sure. Look for any jammed buttons on remote or on control panel. I unplugged everything and then reset-up the tv, dvd player, audio, and other components.

We played Wii sports and fit for few hours than tv started to flicker and change colors to green and black and white. We shut down Wii and not TV screen doesn't show any picture. The power is there and the sound... but the screen is just blue. Any one experienced anything similar?

Do you have a cable box? if so unplug and plug back in the box. I do have issues with boxes doing that, try unplugging the tv also. what have you done to try to fix it?
