Question about Washing Machines
About 2 months age I started have wet closes so I just spun them again. Today I looked in and they still had water in the botton of the tub. I tried spinning again but no luck. I seen that the center agitator moved but the tub didn't move. I looked at the belt it looked ok and kinda of tight. I thought that it might be a filter and I didn't see one on this model in the diagram for the model. Can you tell me what the problem might be and if I can fix it myself. I don't have any experience with repairing washers. Its an old model maybe its time for a new one or a professional.
I have a model # 11024832200. I purchased it in 2003. It is a Kenmore 80 series. For a while I have had to respin my clothes. Just recently I have had to give the washer a little boost and help start spinning the tub. It would start spinning on its own with a little help and finish the job of spinning the clothes. The poor thing finally quit spinning all together. The agitator works fine. It still washes the clothes, but I have to wring them out by hand. Please help.
