Re: Sd-400V DVD player

Are you connected through a VCR by some chance? If so, that will activate "copyguard" and will cause this effect....accordianman

What is a sd card fof

If you store movies on a SD memory card you can insert the SD memory card into this player to view the movie. You may have taken a video of your children on a video camera which stored the video on the SD memory card.
For information for viewing movies/videos on a SD memory card check out page 18 on the User manual.
If you do not have a manual then you can download the user manual from this WEB site

My dvd player works and plays movies but i changed the video to s-video and now i can't see anything on my screen just able to hear movie play. how do i reset it back to normal video?

Make sure you're tv is set on S-VIDEO, not AV1 or AV2 or VIDEO 1 or VIDEO 2, etc... there's most likely a setting on your tv to select your input to S-VIDEO.

Dvd's aren't fitting my screen, the sides and top/bottom is being cut of. I've tried the display menu, zoom, and making it widescreen, and it doesn't work.

Are you playing wide-screen movies on a 4x3=1.33:1 (standard=SD) TV? DVD output by default is SD. Even 16x9=1.78:1 (HD) movies with have top and bottom bars. Many "wide-screen" DVDs are squeezed horizontally so that you have to stretch them. Many theatrical releases are up to 2.7:1 or so. Side bars indicate you have the DVD output set for 4x3 and your TV is HD-like. There are usually controls for the screen format on HD TVs--no controls on SD TV. Hey, early movies were 1:1--take them side bars. More on aspect ratio (AR) in Wiki, I bet. With letterbox of SD you can get "pillar box" with black on all 4 side. Get a better source and/or choose a different AR. -Ken

Dvd player plays all movies but one, thought it was the dvd

I work for Coby technical support. Our customer service phone number is 1-800-727-3592.

If you bought both copies of the dvd in question from the same place, it could be a bad batch. If the player is playing every other disk you try to play with no problem, then it isn't the dvd player that's causing the current problem.

While this doesn't exactly solve your problem, I hope I've helped you by giving you all of the facts. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Play divx movies

Usually, DVD players that play DIVX are very specific on which version it will play; you might want to check this link out:
Oddly enough the P350H manual says nothing about DIVX playback.

Can't play dvd-r or dvd+r

try to buy and play original dvd movies. when it play, it is how you burn your dvd, use some software which will automatically create dvd movies so you can play to your DVD player.. If not, try to clean DVD lens using lens cleaner. usually used DVDr will not play to DVD player.. try also to use new blank DVD
