Tv went off wont turn back on

Make sure you've unplugged all external connections to unit. Try unplugging TV from power source for no less than 10 minutes. Plug in again, and see if it comes on by depressing the unit's ON/OFF switch (NOT via remote). If not, then try something in receptacle that you're plugging into. If no power, then check your circuit breaker. If still no power, then may require service.

Toshiba Satellite m305-s4910

remove the battery pack and power source. make sure nothing is plugged into the laptop. hold down on the power button for 30 seconds. then reinstall battery, plug the the adapter into a known live power source (the real reason for your problem) and power it up!

All of a sudden my 2233rz stopped powering on. Screen just went black midway through browsing...checked the kettle lead, it's fine. All cables are fine. Any suggestions?

Hi Kevin,

First of all, thank you for posting your question here at Fixya.com.

My first advice is to ensure that your AC source(outlet) is live. Try to plug it in to a known working outlet to confirm that the power source is not the issue. If you are using a surge protector/AVR, try to directly plug the monitor's plug to the outlet.

If you confirmed that the AC source is not the problem, then this is an indication that the fault is inside the unit. You have to check first the power supply board's fuse. Check its continuity, if it has a continuity, then the fault is on the voltage regulator circuitry and/or other circuitry on this board, I would advice you to replaced the entire power supply board. Click it here for the replacement.

If you found it open, you have to replaced it with same current(ampere) ratings and then try to power on the unit again. You are lucky if the replacement fuse resolve the issue. Sometimes fuse fail due to voltage surge/flactuation, aging however if the new fuse didn't resolve the issue, then you have to replaced the entire power supply board.

Also, check if your unit is under warranty period, avail it because the manufacturer will fix it for free. Opening the rear cover will void the warranty.

Hope I helped you.

Have a nice day!

Good luck and take care!

Kind Regards,

My c.d. player in my car resets all the settings every time i turn the car off

By the sounds of this one you have no permanent live feed to the unit. When you switch the ignition off you cut the power to the unit which should have a constant live feed to retain memory.
This is normally fed via the ACC position. If you do not have the ACC position available, then be sure to set the Auto Off function. The unit will shut off completely and automatically in the set time after the unit is turned off, which prevents battery drain. I f you do not set the Auto Off function, press and hold (SOURCE/OFF) until the display disappears each time you tum the ignition off.
(Rear of unit multi-plug) RED is 12V + to ACC Cable YELLOW is 12V + to constant live Cable BLACK is - Ground Cable
Good Luck with it.

Garmin c330 will not power up

Assuming that your power source is known to be live (ignition switch on?), the first suspect is the power cord, including the fuse inside the big plug. On the tip of the plug, the silver nut should be tight but the plunger in the center should move when you press it. To check the fuse, unscrew the silver nut. Take out the fuse, which looks like a glass tube with a wire inside - the wire should be unbroken. Better yet, check the fuse with an ohmeter. At the other end of the cord, disconnect and re-seat the connections to make sure they are secure. If using the suction cup mount, you'll need to unclip the unit from the mount to do this. Another possibility is a bad battery inside the unit. My C330 kept going off and on due to a bad plug/fuse assembly. When I switched to a friction mount, it came with a new power cord and the problem went away.

Lost power- will not come back on

If you have a multimeter you should be able to check the out voltage on the powersupply to make sure the power cable isn't at fault. You may also try wigling the power cord a little bit to see if the unit will then get power. If so you have a faulty powercord. If there are any fuses they should usually be accessible from the outside; that's the point with them - they should be easy to change. I would put my money on the power cable. If you have access to a diferent power source try that out. If the unit works with a different power source your power source is at fault. If it still doesn't work the problem is within your unit. Check to see if any pins on the power source and/or the units power plug might be bent or dirty.
