Question about Sony KP-51HW40 51" Rear Projection Television
I WAS SITTING THERE PATIENTLY WAITING FOR THE COMMERCIALS TO HURRY AND FINISH WHEN.. POOF... IT JUST WENT DEAD... BLACK SCREEN... NO SOUND... NOTHING...EARLIER TODAY WHEN I TURNED THE TV ON THE SCREEN WAS SPLIT IN HALF... HALF CABLE HALF VIDEO 1... I UNPLUGGED THE TV AND PLUGGED IT BACK IN ABOUT 20 MINUTES LATER... AND IT WORKED FINE... WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED??? IS IT A TOTAL LOSS?? SHOULD I HAVE IT LOKED AT AND PAY FOR IT TO BE FIXED? IT CLICKS WHEN I PUSH THE ON OFF BUTTON, BUT NOTHING ELSE HAPPENS..
There any number of problems that could have caused the shut down. Depending on how old the set is make your decision on whether it would be wiser to replace it
