I installed the new 2007 it upgraded everything expect me outlook it is still 2003

Your question lists that you are using Office Small Business 2007. Are you sure it's NOT Office 2007 Home and Student? That is the ONLY version which does NOT include Outlook 2007.

The application configurations incorrect

Title: Office installation
Step 1: Insert the Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise CD. If the Setup Wizard does not automatically begin, then click Start > Run > D:\setup.exe
Step 2: Enter the Product Key from the back of the CD jacket. Note: This is a unique code. Please keep in a safe place! Click Continue.
Step 3: Check the box "I accept the terms of this agreement" and click the Continue button.

Step 4: Choose an installation option, Upgrade (removes Office 2003) or Customize (keeps Office 2003 installed and adds Office 2007, allowing you to use them both).
Note: Outlook 2003 will be uninstalled in either option. Outlook will be updated and your user settings and mail will migrate to the new version.

If you click Upgrade, go on to Step 5.

If you click Customize, go on to Step 4a.
Step 4a: Click the radio button for "Keep all previous versions."

Click the Installation Options tab, left-click the first drop down box and click Run all from My Computer
Click Install Now.
Step 5: Installation will begin. It may take 15-30 minutes to finish.

Step 6: Click Close to complete the installation.
Step 7: The first time you launch any Office program, you will be prompted to activate the software. As long as you have an active Internet connection, choose the default option and click Next

Step 8: When the activation finishes, click Close.

For someone too used to using office word 2003 and unwilling to change and learn 207, how can I make 2007 look like 2003 or download a free version that handles like 2003?

well, if you don't want to upgrade your knowledge to office 2007 (personally don't like it at all) you can use open office, it's totally free and loads all microsoft documents and will save in microsoft format also. www.openoffice.org

Can i upgrade from outlook 2007 to 2010 and still use my other programs in office 2007 without a problem?

Hi there !

I you upgrade you Outlook 2007 to 2010, it will also upgrade all the MS office application because you will install the upgrade and it will change all from 2007 to 2010. Don't worry, all MS office 2007 will work fine in MS Office 2007. I upgrade my 2007 to 2010 also with no problem.

Good Luck

Outlook 2007 upgrade freezes on startup

You say that you have upgraded to Outlook 2007 from Outlook 2003; were you using any personal folders (.pst) in Outlook 2003?

If the asnwer is yes; then were these personal folders created in Outlook 2003 or some earlier version of Outlook? In any case, if the older type personal folders are large in size, these can cause Outlook 2007 to stop responding or freezing.

Close Outlook 2007; right click on the Outlook icon showing in the startup programs bar and choose properties; choose 'Show Profiles'; choose copy profile and then choose this new profile in the 'Always use this profile' option.

Outlook 2007 should now work fine.
