Unlocking the Handset

Remove the back cover and the battery from your cell phone. Locate a silver sticker with a bar code on it. Take note of the 15-digit IMEI number printed on it. At this time, also remove the SIM card and write down the numbers printed on the back of it. The SIM card is the small, white data chip in the silver cradle right next to the sticker. You will need these numbers to obtain your Nokia unlock code.

Request a Nokia N95 unlock code from your service provider. If they cannot provide you with an unlock code, you can buy one online.

Replace the SIM card, battery and cover. Fully charge your handset.

Turn on your handset and type "#PW+".

Enter the unlock code given from your phone company or website. Make sure you dial the number exactly as it was given to you. If you dial this number incorrectly three times, you will be permanently locked out of your handset.

Dial "+1#". At this point, the screen on your Nokia N95 should read "SIM Restriction Off."

Switch your handset off and remove the back cover and battery.

Remove the SIM card.

Insert the new SIM card into the SIM card slot. Now that the phone has been unlocked, this can be a SIM card from any U.S. service provider that uses SIM cards.

Replace the back cover and battery and switch the cell phone on. The screen should now read the name of the new service provider

You don't need a Nokia N95 diagram.
The white screen means that the ribbon cable that attaches your main phone circuit board and the screen has become damaged or come loose.

A good phone repair shop should be able to repair this for you.

Or if you are brave and don't mind taking a risk of damaging your handset further you can replace it yourself.

N95 8GB has only mass storage memory. It does not have a slot for micro SD memory cards. Best method of data transfer is to use the USB to Mini-USB cable (should have come packaged with handset) and choose on the handset Mass Storage mode on connection for easiest and quickest data transfer.

Have you got the correct settings for the internet installed on the handset? On the N95 depending on your firmware you should have a Settings Wizard which can automatically download the settings for your handset... If this does not work or is not available, a quick call to your Mobile Network, tell them the model of the handset and they should be able to send you the Internet and MMS settings to your handset.

Nokia N95 is a Symbian handset. You might had opened many applications at one time which are consuming a lot of space on your handset. Try closing some applications or removing one-two applications from your handset and see if if works. Other then this you can try out expanding the memory for your handset.

Further to your communication with Vodafone regarding the unlocking of your Nokia handset, I have set out the following procedure and unlocking code:

1. With the Vodafone sim card inside the handset

2. Key #pw+129022718795152+1# (The p w and + symbols are found by keying the * key twice for the + symbol, three times for ‘p’ and four times for ‘w’)

3. The handset should then display “Sim restriction off” which means it is unlocked

NB. If the handset fails to unlock, then please do not attempt to enter any sequence more than twice, as you will risk permanently blocking your handset. "

Brother this is paid service everywhere. N-95 is BB5 platform phone and highly secure for it's lock. Smart tools are needed to unlock it and that tools are costly. So, contact your nearby technician or ask paid code generator services on net. Nobody can provide you this code only knowing your phone's IMEI.
