Question about Vtech 5.8GHz Cordless Phone with Digital Answering System

1 Answer

Squeal My vtech 5.8GHz phone squeals so loudly it is unusable.  But it does not do this all of the time.  It is installed in the kitchen, but I have been unable to associate the problem with any kind of appliance interference.  Any ideas/suggestions?

Yes, I read about that possibility somewhere else also. I do have a wireless router running. I just went in and changed a setting on that device that was suggested. Hopefully that will fix the problem. Thanks for the help.

It sounds like it has to being interfered with by some other appliance maybe cell phone radio wireless network maybe. check and see if everything you have wireless isnt running on the same frequency or being interfered with while around the phone.

At start up I have a loud squeal on my 99 Mazda 626. Both belts are new and so is the alternator. The squeal only last for about 10 secs or so and goes away. I have started it in neutral and the squeal is...

Does your car have air conditioning.? Most cars use the A/C compressor to dry the air for the defrost. It will also come on for a short time when you first start the car. With the engine running after the squeel has stopped , try turning the A/C on , If the squeel starts again , then I would think your A/C compressor is seized. Also . are you sure the 2 new belts are tight enough?

When accelerating our van it starts to squeal very loud now.

Have your fan and other belts checked/replaced!
Rarely but sometimes a can of belt dressing will stop the squeal if the belt's just a little to dry!
Check your oil!
Check your trans and other fluids if you don't think it's a belt!

Squealing NOISE possibly from fan belt

Belts stretch from new. Try to tighten them again. Hopefully the are not glazed or this may stay with you.
