Bonjour apres l'acquisition d'un compaq presario C740TU core 2 duo, j'ai enleve vista et remplace par XP sp2. j'ai telecharger les pilotes sur le site mais apres installation, tous les autres drivers fonctionnent parfaitement. mais seulement celui de la carte son me fait des maniere
il ecritseulemnt dans la config wave out et wave in et mon micro ne fonctione pas, et kan je branche les haut parleur ils ne fonction pas et les haut parleur du laptop continue au lieu de passer aux hauts parleur externe. meme conecte rien ne se passe et ils continue.
je ne peux ni utilser le micro, ni utiliser les haut parleur externe

please, aidez moi a resoudre ce probleme.

- Conexant HD-Audio SmartAudio 221 drivers for windows XP professional. This was my problem.
I purchased my notebook compaq presario C740TU, intel core 2 duo, vista homa was there and i have downgraded to vista from Xp professional plus sp2.
I have all drivers but only for my sound card.
I have took some wrong drivers on the internet after installing my mic is not working and i cannot use my speaker too. when i saw configutayion there is only:
midi-out.0 0001 0066 Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth
mixer.0 0001 0068 Conexant HD Audio output
mixer.1 0001 0068 Conexant HD Audio input
wave-in.0 0001 0065 Conexant HD Audio input
wave-out.0 0001 0064 Conexant HD Audio output

and I need Conexant HD-Audio SmartAudio 221 drivers for windows XP professional.

Ok what you need to do is go to your manufactures web page (the one that made your main board or sound card), in there support. link you will find a list of model ,, simply download the driver for your model board on the prefered operating system..

an alternative to this will be to install a driver gathering software like driver magician
get it here
www.phazeddl.com
what this does is detects your devices and installs the appiorate drivers for it..

If you are still having problems let me know.. POST YOUR MAIN BOARD MANUFACTURES AND MODEL, OR SOUND CARD MANUFACTURE AND MODEL AND I WILL SEND YOU THE DIRECT LINKS cheers..

I made a downgrade on HP Pavillion Notebook and no more sound is going OUT. My notbook is Compaq Presario V3772TU Notebook PC THE PROBLEM seems to be on the CONEXANT HD AUDIO IN / Driver... can you help here...I need the XP drivers I guess....where the hell can I find them
