It has crashed twice, first time the hard drive got fried, so i bought a new one. This time, it says software error when it goes to a blue screen, reboots, and then gives me the option of running windows normally, or with start mode, etc. Regardless of which option I choose, it repeats the process.

Based on the error code, this issue has to dowith an external Hard drive working at high stress levels. Are you trying to run the games from a secondary HD? If so, try removing them and installing them on the primary HD.
The blue screen signals that several critical files from Windows are corrupted. It's too late to repair that, you will have to completely reinstall so use the recovery cd that came with the pc when you bought it.
you may need to wipe the drive, reformat, and reinstall windows and the updates and the PC drivers. i have had times when an installation just didnt install right. happens some times.
May its your hard disk wish have a problem. Try to install your OS on an external hard disk or change the internal hard disk. See what happen. if it show blue screen it may be an hardware error.
Yes. This means your hard drive has crashed. Return it quickly and get another one. Luckily for you this didn't happen later when a lot of precious files would have been lost.
A blue screen indicates an operating system error. Many times you can fix it by doing a system repair or reload, however, occasionally the blue screen is caused by a hard drive crash. To start you will need to run a system repair with your recovery or operating system disc. If the repair doesn't take, then try to totally reinstall the operating system. If you have any problems during or after the install then the hard drive has failed and will need replaced. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.
A blue screen means operating system error. Your operating system will have to be either repaired or reinstalled using your recovery disc or operating system disc. A blue screen can also occur with a hard drive failure/crash. It's about 50/50 between system error and hard drive failure. If you have any issues or problems during or after the repair/reload of the operating system, then it's the hard drive and it will need to be replaced.
generally all computers can handle a secondary hard drive. i myself am a dell tech. why not try to increase the wattage output of your power supply from the present 200 or 250 watts to at least 300 or 350 watts to give enough provisions for additional devices that will be connected to your computer. normally a hard drive will get burned or fried because of a loose power cable connection. data cable will never fry your hard drive. try running the hard drive diagnostics if it passes then it should work well. try also using chkdsk /r in the command prompt to fix your hard drive if the damage is not that extensive.
I did and they gave me no answer to the problem. They had told me I could buy a new software disk from them. Buy?!?! I got the disk with my machine! I still can't figure out this problem, I uninstall and reinstall the software everytime I use the embroidery part of the machine. This is driving me nuts..
I am a seamstress and a costumer, having this problem with the machine is bad for my business. If I would have known then what I know now about the machine I would have never bought it.
