Question about Televison & Video
I have the above dvd player I recently bought (in Australia, where I'm living). The problem is I was advised that this was a multi region player which would play all region dvd's, I have several dvds from America, which now only play in black & white...I have been through the manual to try to solve this issue. Do I need to add an access code or something like that or is this a bad luck situation...cheers Craig
Sounds like the TV you are using does not support NTSC, the US TV standard. Try connecting the DVD player to some other TVs - something not more than a few years old would be a good bet, and a large screen plasma/LCD ideal as most of these are "multi-system" and handle PAL and NTSC automatically.
If the problem was the region coding you would be getting a message on the screen, something like "Cannot play due to area limitations".

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
