Hello Doug,

Go to this web page: Canon MP460 Support

If the Support & Service tab is not selected click on it. Type replace ink in the Search box and click Search. The second result should be "How do I replace ink cartridges?" and the third result should be "How do I install ink cartridges?" Click on either one for an animated tutorial for replacement. There are no other parts.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Where do i change the ink on my canon mp830 pixma?

Hello paulphipps1,

That printer the ink is housed underneath the top portion of the printer. To open the top, reach down under the buttons or display area,, and left up, a blue plastic piece will slide out and lock the top into place. Once that up, look inside and the ink cartridges will eventually slide over to the left side of the printer. Look left towards the silver bar and you'll see two plastic holders for the ink. Take the ink cartridge out, by pushing down on the top edge of the cartridge, then out. To replace them, remember to remove the protective seal on the ink cartridge and put the ink cartridge in by holding the ink cartridge at an angle that has the copper control slip pointing upwards. Make sure you put it in below the top ridge of the plastic holders. Then once you slip the cartridge into the holder at the upwards angle, pull up again on the cartridge to snap it into place. That's it your cartridges are reset with new ink.

Good Luck
and don't forget to leave a rating based on my solution.

you need to replace the printer head this is easy to do. first take out old ink cartrages. in the ink tray you will see a bulls eye. right above the bulls eye there is a small black tab. push tab to release printerhead.( call kodak at the customer service help line for new printer head they will ship 1 to 2 days) put new printhead in place and gently snap back into place replace with new ink cartrages.

I just got a new print head for my kodak esp3 all-in-one printer

with the printer ON, lift the scanner/top to access the cartridges. remove the ink cartridges. lift the gray tab gently with thumb and index finger of one hand. gently pull the print head up and out with the other hand. install new print head back first, then press target with thumb gently until you hear snap/click. reinstall ink cartridges.

Ink jet

Try removing the ink cartridge and then putting it back. There should be a snapping sound. Then remove the power cable of the back at the printer that is connected to the outlet wall. wait for 30 sec. before plugging it back and another 30 sec before turning it on. If that still won't work, contact kodak 1 800 421 6699. Im sure they will be able to help. ^_^

Repalcing ink cartridges

Purchase the ink cartridges from a store or Open the access panel to where the ink is. Remove the old ink cartridge by pushing up on the bottom tab. Put the new ink cartridge in the slot and push down on the top tab. The ink cartridge should snap. Close the access panel and you should be good to go.
